AC:NL Turnip Prices

So, my town is selling turnips for only about 200 bells. Can anybody let me travel to their town (assuming Retail buys turnips for good prices)? One guy on gamefaqs said his town was buying turnips for 1,000 bells. Is that even possible?

Anyway, please comment the prices your town gives for turnips. Update if needed- I'm selling my next wave next week.
