Not to mention the numerous Sega games released on Nintendo's systems.

Sega was once a rival to Nintendo's game design, much like Sony and Microsoft are today. It cranked out various games such as the unforgettable (in a good way, mind you) Alex Kidd series, but when Sonic the Hedgehog hit stores on the Sega Genesis, Nintendo "declared" a full-on console war. However, though Nintendo had its failures, ultimately, Sega lost. Sega then decided to stop creating consoles, and release most of their games on Nintendo's consoles from then onward. Eventually, Nintendo repayed them with the chance of a lifetime: Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games. HAL Laboratory then cemented Sega's impact on Nintendo by making an agreement to put Sonic in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. In 1995, if you said that Mario and Sonic would one day star in a game together, they'd laugh at you and call you insane. Now, these two companies have brought out the best in each other.
