A poll was recently announced by Sony that 80% of gamers prefer their Playstation 4 over Microsoft's Xbox One and Nintendo's Wii U.

Also just a little more news, Call of Duty: Ghosts multiplayer will finally be shown in a livestream on August 14th.

Its obviously a biased poll since in the poll is taken by SONY themselves. The article itself said it was biased based on the number of pre-orders both console have gotten "have been fairly even". Sony is just trying to kiss up to their shareholders.

If you guys think this is cleary "bias based", I'd like to point out the obvious on how the Xbox One isn't popular.

1. DRM damaged the reputation
2. Used game policies damaged the reputation
3. It has a stupid name for the 3rd installment.
4. It looks like a 1990's VR.
5. The reveal damaged it's reputation.

Plus I saw a recent Gengames poll where 87% of gamers prefer PS4 over XBone.

@gold its a biased poll even for xbox one, those result are too low. I would believe it if the numbers were more like 40% ps4, 30% wii u /xboxone but results like these are absurd. Theirs no way PS4 would come up with 80% unless sony specifically took a poll of their own fan base. They should have at least stated where they got these poll numbers.

The "recent" poll you looked had very few votes (261 total) plus it didn't have a "neither" or a "Wii U" option so its not really accurate. The poll gave people very limited options.

Majority of people who buy these things are "gamers," I'm afraid that with the Wii done we won't be seeing many more Gramps and Grans and middle aged women buying game systems.

New systems almost always sell out at launch. Wii U and 3DS had great launches, they just did/are doing horrible the months following.
