Aarons guide to: Zombie Apocalypse
spadeguy (2013-08-22 22:54:48)I woke up tied to a stake. I opened my eyes, and saw that my wound had healed.
So much for one day... now what happened?
"HELLO!" I screamed. "What's happening?"
I took a second look and realized that I was in a dirt courtyard. I was handcuffed to a wooden post, and my pocket had a hole, and blue liquid exiting from it. I was completely alone in this courtyard, only I felt... watched. I was essentially in a dirt courtyard, surrounded by gates on 3 sides, and a large jail building on the 4th.
The door leading to the outside opened, and a man approached me, with 2 men holding rifles on either side of him. He had a combat knife attached to his side, and a blood stained T-shirt.
"I see you've reverted a stage in the zombification process. Good, I don't wanna have to put this here knife into your head. Un-cuff 'em boys."
I wax uncuffed and then exchanged information with the man, discovering his name was Jeff. Jeff has killed "several people, animals, and dreams" (he actually put dreams in...)
"Okay then Aaron, here's the deal."
The deal.
Over the course of 24 hours, the zombie invasion has ravaged the entire world. All order has been broken as people rebelled against the governments out of pure chaos. The people have attempted hiding, from the hoardes of zombies in government sanctioned safe zones, and they drop supplies off through daily air drops.
Well other than the fact that my parents were probably zombies, I discovered that I was in Maryland.
Hours later
"I need men to go out and get the air drops..." Jeff said.
No hands raised.
"Let me remind you idiots tha-" he was interrupted by an angry woman.
"WOULD SOMEBODY JUST MAN UP!"
She pointed at me,
"You look smart! Take this and get out there!" she said tossing me an pair of glasses with special frames. I've heard about these, they were special AR glasses, that point out things in the suroundings, and amplify all sound in the surrounding using vibration to stimulate your eardrums and make noise only you can hear. It doubled as a communicator.
The people in the room cheered, and quickly escorted me out of the room. I was given absolutely no weaponry, because I was running late, and I ran out of site and immediately sat down.
"Well that escalated quickly... I need a step 3..."

spadeguy (2013-08-23 03:06:32)The city was large, and I had no idea what I was up against. Other than the first idea of zombies, this was nothing like that. Right now I've only contacted a few zombies...
Zombie Encyclopedia!
This is the part where I put up the different kinds of zombies I have faced/ will face. I'll add more facts about them later.
So:
Zombie:
I'd rate it a 1/10 because all zombies after it are worse.
Buster:
I personally dislike these. They have large boils, filled with all sorts of things! Mainly the infection. 2/10.
So far, it would seem as though that's it, and I have no intention of contacting any of them.
Meanwhile in a dark alley
"Okay, Aaron keep it moving. You'll definitely need to pick up the pace if you wanna get to the drop first." Taylor said through my Mod-Specs.
"Well I don't have many skills now do I? I'll see if I can navigate my way through." I replied sarcastically.
"I'm scanning the surroundings from the safe zone computer. I'll send the 'Basic Combat and Navigation' update to your Mod-Specs. It'll use augmented reality to outline things a person of your physical stature should be able to safely navigate or use as a weapon."
I walked slowly and heard the loud smacking noise of a zombie eating. I peered around the corner and saw, right in the center of the alley was a zombie eating a bag of beef jerky. I looked ahead and saw another zombie attempting to open a door. I began whispering,
"Taylor... I could use those updates now... both paths forward are being blocked by zombies."
After a few seconds I heard a beep as I got the update. In the corner of my eyes I could see the words Basic Combat Navigation and Potential seeker
"There you go" Taylor said, "Now just look around and it'll outline weapons you should be able to use."
I looked around and surely enough everything of use was highlighted. I sprinted towards a pipe near the feeding zombie before it could see me, and I turned towards it then struck its head making a loud noise as the pipe shook and rebounded. I looked around as it was dead silent. My silence was disturbed by the sound of a screaming zombie. It sprinted at me, and even more followed behind it. I turned quickly and ran, as I was already late in leaving for the drop. I exited the alley, and saw a zombie attempting to use a [CASTER BOARD NON-BRAND "Trip-Stick"] It's like a Rip-Stick.
I ran and put a lot of force into the head of the zombie, causing the pipe to break. I picked up the Trip-Stick and began riding it. It was a learning process, but I caught on fast. I began riding downhill fast when suddenly I saw the red smoke of an air drop. I immediately sprinted towards it, but...
Night was falling...

spadeguy (2013-08-23 03:34:51)A word from the author:
So this is a story inspired by Dying Light the upcoming videogame. One thing about this that I thought it'd be cool to see implemented is this entire story being thought of as a videogame. The glasses Aaron gets being the HUD (Heads Up Display) and having augmented reality features be the extra stuff like highlighted objects. Don't worry, I'm not gonna blow this out of proportion, I'm just gonna have fun with it. Any character names or other ideas would be appreciated. Or any feedback at all, even negative.

spadeguy (2013-08-23 15:04:25)I made my way to the drop and began putting small items in my pockets, although zombies were still on my trail. I was interrupted by the sight of a red dot on my chest. I looked around and, above a building, saw the outline of a gun but not the person holding it. I immediately ducked beside the metal drop crate. I quickly looked back into the crate and saw a metal combat baton. I grabbed it and then took cover once more.
"Aaron, we'll send men for the drop tomorrow," Taylor informed, "just take the smoke grenade. Zombies are headed your way!"
"How do you know?" I asked,
"Oh wait... satellite."
I turned and saw a horde of zombies... only they were different. The night only lifted them with life. They were more ferocious, and even looked stronger. I ran directly at them and jumped high as possible, then stepped on 3 of their heads before landing on the chest of the last one. I swung the baton in a circle and the dominoe effect took place. Afterwards, I took a few careful steps and saw a bullet whiz past my head. I began running faster and faster before I ended back in the safe zone. I burst through the door and collapsed breathless.
"There you are" the girl who prompted me to leave said, "Finally"
"Taylor, stand back" Jeff the self proclaimed head of house said.
"SO YOU'RE TAYLOR?!
"Why di- how- I'm just going to sleep, take these." I said emptying my pockets dropping canned goods and ammunition.
"See you guys sometime tomorrow."
Sometime Tomorrow
"I CAN'T SEE YOU!" I said through the communicator in my Mod-Specs.
"I'm just gonna head off then. Later"
In return I heard:
"Yeah guys, he fell for it! We don't have to go again!"
Oh well, I was gonna test out the Basic Navigation update. It uses satellite and sonar to scan 360 degrees of my area, then highlights things that I can use to escape. I picked up a dagger and a holster for it, and attached it to my side. Then I set off.
I walked past the front door and then saw the world in a new perspective. There were objects that I had no idea I could even climb highlighted. Things I could merely vault over, or even things to shimmy across. I started running and then turned my head and saw even more. I ran into a bright alley with nothing more than a winding path of alleys. This would be my main method of travel through the city. I took a few steps forward and saw a man sitting in the corner. I took a few steps towards him, and placed a hand on his shoulder.
"Sir are you okay?" I asked
"I know a safe area where you ca-"
He turned to reveal half a bloody face, maggots leaving certain sections of his head and then he stood up. I backed up and fell over a piece of wood. Then he roared. He was obviously a...

Screamer:
They shout to alert others of your existence. Other than that, they run slightly faster than actual zombies, and are incapable of feeding on anything but small foods. They can still infect you through contact with open sores.
I got up and ran forward, then gave a solid punch to its face. It fell down and I jumped and stomped its head with both feet.
I was too late
Zombies closed in from all sides, and I looked hopeless, until I saw a path of hope. I wallran up to a fairly low fire escape and made my way up the skyscraper. After a few seconds of gloating, realized that the buildings had zombies on top of them. I began running and taking them down. A little before noon I had cleared about 40 zombies. I also found that certain buildings were within jumping distance, so I could easily traverse them. I told Taylor about them at the end of the day and she said she'd send people to weld stable structures to each building!
Although months began passing, and more and more people began leaving for the drops. Eventually a group of people broke off, lead by Jeff who felt as though he was no longer in control. They set up camp on the other side of the city. I was now in control of this base, and I had no idea what to do. My daily routine became sending groups of men out to get daily drops and leaving by myself to discover things in the city. After receiving advanced combat training, I was definitely getting better.
More months passed, and it had been half a year since the start of the zombie apocalypse.
But things were only stable in this city...

spadeguy (2013-08-24 14:03:41)Far off a small group of survivors began their expedition towards the other half of the continent. While in California, they planned on traveling to Maryland because a stable settlement was forming there. A young man named (or nicknamed) Lucky lived a fairly content life. His parents died saving his life from a zombie in a supermarket, and that's the first time he'd seen a zombie. He was taken in by 3 others, a scientist girl named Lisa, a previously mute musician named Crye, and Lucky's best friend Ray.
"Dude, c'mon! I just wanna drive!" Ray says beggingly, "I know how! I play Grand Theft Auto!"
"If there was ever a point where I'd let you drive, it's gone with that statement..." Lisa said drawing a laugh from Lucky.
"Is that one?! Oh wait nevermind... is that one?!! Nope just a pig... I thi-" Ray was shut up by a knock on the head.
"Close your mouth!" Lisa said angrily, "Aaron's Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse is on the radio!"
They listened in on the radio and immediately hit the brakes on the car.
I want all people to immediately look for the nearest computer. We've sent a special team, lead by my assistant Taylor- ouch! stop that... okay, my colleague Taylor... to hack into government databases and turn the internet back on or whatever. We'll send people to get any survivor possible, so long as you post on Facebook. Yeah, not very original... just do it if you wanna head here!
Lucky looked at Lisa, then at Ray, then looked at Crye who was already smiling. Theh hit the breaks on the car, and sped towards the nearest city.
They arrived at a huge city with zombies as far as the eye can see... the streets of Los Angeles. Lisa popped the trunk, and Crye began sharpening one of his 2 swords on a nearby piece of scrapmetal. Ray took a dagger and crossbow from the trunk, and Lucky grabbed two fairly large batons, and an AK-47 then strapped it to his side. Lisa took a weird looking gun out of the trunk and a utility belt, then a brick.
"Really, a brick? You kno- oh I see." Lucky said as she placed the brick on the gas pedal causing the car to swiftly drive into a large hoarde of zombies. She took a grenade out of her pocket, and tossed it towards Crye, who used the casing of his sword to hit the grenade towards the car.
"Okay, you should've taken the pin out." Ray said informingly. Crye responded by holding out his index finger, causing Lucky to break in a sprint screaming, "TAKE COVER!".They followed him, and the car exploded. The group weaved around groups of slow limping zombies, and eventually ended up at an abandoned warehouse, with a large gate around it. Ray began climbing the gate, and Crye slashed with 2 strokes of his blade, causing a large square of gate to fall down. Lisa shot the gate with her gun, and a bolt of energy pieced the gate, completely disintegrating the affected parts.
"Uhh... 'over here'" Lucky said, opening the gates entrance. "Nice to see you've made a zombie door guys... idiots..." he said laughingly.
The inside of the warehouse was full of auto parts, and cars in production. Lucky hit a switch, and the lights came on, revealing zombies attempting to work at the production lines.
"Well... interesting, the zombies do exactly what they would if they weren't... zombies." Lisa said looking at a zombie get beheaded for attempting to eat Crye, "Well almost exactly. Well men. Get to work!"
"You have a RAY-GUN! Why should you get to sit this one out!" Ray said
"Well I'm a girl!" Lisa shouted, alerting the zombies in the area. Crye jumped to action, but not before Lucky, who used a nearby tire-iron to take out 3 zombies at once. Crye threw his sword at a lever, causing a barrage of sparks and the construction line to come back to function. He jumped on a zombies chest, causing it to fall back, but he sprung off before it could completely fall, and ended up in a sprint to get his sword back. He was tackled by a zombie, and it roared, its teeth inches away from his face. A crossbow bolt hit its head causing it to fall back dead. Ray held a thumbs up, and Crye sighed.
"Well that's all of them!" Lisa said happily. Lucky screamed, "WATCH OUT! TANK!"
It goes without saying...

Tank:
Tanks are obviously one of the most dangerous kinds of zombies, because they seem to have a habit of killing people. Normally people have been opted to stay away from them, but further research proved that to be no fun. They take lots of hits, and do a lot of damage in one strike, only problem is that they're physically and mentally slow. 7/10
Crye picked up his sword, and Lucky ran towards the large zombie. Crye jumped off of Lucky's back, and the Tank rushed towards him. He slashed in the blink of and eye, and the Tank fell, and began cringing, before getting back up.
"It's angrier now!" Ray exclaimed, "I know, Lucky, shock it!"
"READY CRYE!" Lucky said smiling, Crye nodded. The Tank roared ferociously. Lucky took one of his two batons from the holster on his back.
The baton began sparking, and Lucky dashed towards the Tank and ducked a swing from the Tank, then jumped into the air and jammed his sparking baton into its chest making it flinch uncontrollably. Crye took the opportunity to shove his sword into the Tanks head. It fell with a smack and Crye held his hand up for a hi-five, and got one from an ecstatic Lucky!
"Alright, hands up if you're hungry!" Ray shouted.
Before they could raise their hands, Lucky and Crye were met with a swift "Not until we secure the area!" from Lisa
Hours later
"Okay, we know it's safe... there are tons of good supplies here too! We hit the jackpot!" Lisa shouted happily, "Now let's get... a bus!" she said. She looked directly at Lucky, who simply nodded and signaled Crye to join him.
"Aww! Why do I have to stay!?!" Ray said
"Well," Lucky replied, "All you have to do is wait for us to get back. Then you'll be part of the modding team I'm assuming Lisa's gonna ask for. I'll go get you some new bolts for your crossbow anyway."
"Okay then... just don't take long..."
Even later...
Lucky took his batons out and threw them into the air. They clicked together in midair becoming a staff and he caught them. Crye clapped, then he took out the sheathe of his sword, and approached a zombie. He quickly swiped the sheathe of his sword at the zombies waist, and the zombie was cut in half.
"AHH MAN!" Lucky said, separating his batons, and sheathing them once more. "Okay, okay... I'll get the bolts..."
He entered the gun shop, Crye following, and immediately broke into a sprint. Zombies inside attempted to attack him, but Crye began cutting them to pieces. Lucky began stuffing things into his pockets and he saw bolts, crossbows and such. He took a combat bookbag, then stuffed it full of bolts of different sizes and shapes, and a cool multi stringed crossbow. Then theh left.
In all honesty, they found a bus seconds within leaving the newest safe zone. They hijacked it, and drove off to find crossbow bolts.
Anywho... Lucky began driving, when Crye suddenly jumped out of the buses emergency exit. Lucky looked back and saw the reason... they were being followed. Crye landed on a Jeep, and almost slid off, but he took his sword out and jammed it into the top. The people began shooting at the bus, but Crye took a grenade from his pocket, and tossed it into the Jeep. Lucky hit the breaks and the Jeep got close enough for Cry to jump back in through the emergency exit, then Lucky drifted around a sharp turn with the bus, barely tipping a zombies foot, making it fall down. The Jeep crashed into a building, and nothing happened.
"You didn't pull the pin for the grenade did you?" Lucky said.
Crye smiled, shaking his head no, and Lucky laughed. They made they're way back to the safe zone, and handed the bus over to Lisa.
Lucky tossed the combat-bag to Ray, and Crye took several metals and began cutting them to hone his skills. Lucky fell asleep, but it is a safe zone...
...right?

spadeguy (2013-08-31 10:26:49)WHOOSH!
The sound of Crye rushing past several cans, all of which remained completely still. Crye took a deep breath, and smiled, but when one can slid downwards diagonally, he exhaled disappointedly.
"HEY CRYE! COME CHECK THIS OUT!" Ray shouted.
Crye grabbed a nearby rope from a large group, and pulled hard, then was yanked upwards to a metal overhead walkway. He sprinted towards the section that the voice was heard from, and jumped down. He landed silently next to a sleeping Lucky, who was hugging his AK-47 like a teddy bear. Lucky opened his eyes, and laughed.
"For someone who's mute, you sure do make a lot of noise."
Crye grinned then helped Lucky to his feet. He slashed the wall with 3 strokes, and the words "Follow me" were etched. They ran and ran, then both instinctively stopped.
Something was wrong...
They dived in opposite directions as a barrage of sawblades soared through where they were, and into a wall.
"That was luck! We'll kill you punks..." A voice shouted.
A man began running past, with tremendous speed, and a strange bag. Crye began a dash with Lucky and immediately they began running in search for Ray and Lisa. They found them all right, well and alive.
...and tied up.
Their weapons were put on a table roughly 15 feet from them. There was a maze of shelves holding vehicle parts and equipment about, and there was a metal section overhead that Crye made his way to. The enemies were walking around the maze, and zombies were bound to enter through the front gate that had been opened. The enemies made the mistake of tying them while they were standing, so naturally Ray and Lisa took down the enemies watching them with their legs.
"Race?"
Crye nodded from above.
Lucky began sprinting through the maze, and coming up to several dead ends. He turned and saw a guard, who immediately aimed his gun. Lucky reached for a random piece of equipment and pulled out a screwdriver. He threw it and the enemy was hit in the hand and cringed with pain giving Lucky enough time to disarm and knock the guard out all in one forward movement. He continued running and saw two other armed enemies, but these ones didn't see him. Lucky grabbed two mufflers and ran at an angle between them, before throwing both mufflers in opposite directions, causing a loud bang. Both guards turned to the outside direction, and Lucky ran between them barely avoiding the eyesight of the confused enemies.
Almost to the end!
He thought to himself.
Meanwhile, Ray and Lisa made their way to their weapons. Ray lifted his dagger with his tied arms, and cut himself free, then gloated to Lisa about his freedom, before cutting her free.
They ran forward and saw Crye take down several enemies with the case of his sword, before waving happily to them.
"Weird guy..." Ray joked.
Lucky ran forward and tripped, sliding feet before Crye, Lisa, and Ray. He popped up from the ground and took a candy bar from his pocket and gave it to Crye. They crept outside, and saw several zombies walking into brick walls. Stupid, stupid zombies.
They got to the bus, which appeared dusty and old, with a large gun on the top of it, and a triangular bumper on front. Ray took out his dagger, and began sprinting to the front of the bus. Lucky followed, and saw the hood of the bus being opened. He quickly kicked the back of the persond knee, making them collapse. He took one of his rods off of his side, and swung at the mans neck, knocking him out.
Lucky then walked into the bus, and saw that the interior had a refrigerator, and benches on either side. Lisa began complaining,
"The bus won't work! I think it's the battery! We need to jump sta-"
"My time to shine!" Lucky shouted, tapping the dashboard of the car with his electric rod, causing the car to roar with life.
Yep... now let's get outta here..

spadeguy (2013-09-02 18:47:27)After roughly 3 days of driving, they ended up in Nevada. The desert-ish area of Nevada was far more boring than Lucky could have imagined. No action for miles, and it started getting to his head. The engine of the bus was making silly noises too. Lisa had earlier noted her desire to create an electric engine, although she only got partially through. The buses autopilot was functioning, but with no roads in sight, the crew could only hope they were heading forward. Lisa was examining various zombie slides under a microscope on a poorly made "Science-area".
"Well well, what do we have here?" Lisa said to Crye, "Looks like the zombie strains are changing. It shouldn't be long before the zombies themselves start to change... we need to find a way to stop this. First we need to head to Maryland for the safe zone! I heard they're gonna take back Philadelphia! Exciting right?!"
"You know, Crye is mute..." Lucky said, "He can understand, but he probably won't respond verbally..."
"Oh shutup!" Lisa said, "So when are you gonna actually use that thing of yours?" She said pointing to the AK-47 strapped to his side. He unhooked it, and handed it to her,
"I'm a great marksman, but... this isn't gonna be of much use. Maybe a "one shot at a time" thing would do?"
She laughed, then took the gun. Lucky walked towards Ray, who was fiddling with the bus radio.
"Ooh... just in time man..."
The radio began playing.
Hello! This is Tayler with another guide to the zombie apocalypse, here to inform you of a new breed of zombie. This new type has the odd ability to stretch two tentacles. They've been aptly named Octos During the nighttime, they sprout a number of tentacles varying. Moreso, we have successfully taken over parts of Philadelphia! Please, all humans should make their way down to Maryland! That is all, more later, so keep your radios on.
"Oh great!" Ray said, "Looks like we got a new threat to look out for. Although I guess they've always been there, after all these are just the sighted zombies."
The sun went down, and the entire crew was asleep in the moving bus. Except for Lucky.
He looked out the window, intent on getting out of Nevada. They were headed to Utah, as the bus would periodically remind them. The bus hit a bump, causing Lisa to fall to the ground. Lucky laughed, then his smile was completely taken away, as the bus hit another... and another... then more...
This could only mean one thing.
Death Valley
Zombie Encyclopedia
Well children, during the first few weeks of the zombie apocalypse, it was obvious that no zombie would want to go somewhere without flesh. That's where Death Valley falls into play. Criminals from all around would go there, bringing supplies over 2 months. Fugitives, Cons, anyone near the black market could be found there. Well thankfully they work together right? No. They formed tribes that constantly turn on each other. Making Death Valley one of the worst places to go with a suped up bus.
End
Lisa caught on quickly, but it was far too late. Gunshots began firing off. A helicopter could be heard overhead though. It was firing back. Suddenly the entire sky was lit up with explosions and gun fire. Ray had awoken and taken the wheel, and Lucky was on the roof with his AK-47 firing off rounds.
"QUICK-SWITCH" Lucky shouted, sliding back then falling through a sunroof, landing on his feet. Ray ran forwards, and jumped towards Lucky, who had both hands prepared to launch Ray into the sunroof. Ray took out his crossbow, and began firing. Suddenly several tentacles appeared on the roof.
An Octo
Ray had no problem reloading in less than a second, but the tentacles were far too much. But the sun was rising... he had to hold it off momentarily, and avoid gunfire. The Octo began jabbing at Ray, who was dodging as quickly as possible. One tentacle struck his crossbow, causing it to fall back, and into the sunroof below. The bus swerved, causing Ray to almost fall off, but he had latched on with his dagger. The Octo took this opportunity to strike, but Ray got to his feet just in time. He began fighting the zombie one on one, dodging tentacle after tentacle, and cutting away at it. There was a large boulder up ahead, and Ray had a plan. He slid between the Octos legs, and then ran near the front of the bus, then jumped and launched the dagger with tremendous force forwards, the zombie grabbed him with a tentacle, but then the bus swerved around. It slowed down as it curved around, just as Ray expected, and the dagger soared through the air still, but landed.
In the head of the Octo
Ray took back his dagger, and jumped down the sunroof.
Crye was still fast asleep...
There was smooth sailing out of death valley, and then Nevada...

Step One
Breaking out.
Well my mother always taught me I could be whatever I wanted to be... so I decided to be a terrorist! My name is Aaron, and I'm what you'd call a "patient zero" or whatever. I'm not sure how I got to be this way, but I'm basically immune to the zombie plague. I also have the infection... and I'm probably being hunted. That would explain why I'm in a quarantine zone, within a quarantined area, in an underwater stronghold, in the Bermuda Triangle. Who knew the government was so dedicated to holding 15 year olds? I'm not the only one here, and I'm sure that I won't be the last. Thousands of others were shipped in after me, although I'm the confirmed first holder of the Zombie bacteria. The only person you should know about is me for now, because I'm the only one who wants to escape.
I walked beside the wall making sure not to draw attention to myself. If there were any gaps, water pressure would begin tearing the underwater base. apart.
What happened next was uncalled for...A large siren sounded suddenly as people rushed in, and began slaughtering us one by one. I ran towards the action, making sure to avoid the smaller groups of people. I then saw the problem, they weren't killing people...
...they were shooting zombies...
I felt a disturbance from behind as a zombie dug its teeth into my right arm. I forced it off of me and tripped it. Before it could get up I ran, along with several others, out of the quarantine zone.
Step 2
Finding a way out...
I quickly took in my surroundings. I was in a brightly lit room, with metal floors, walls, and roof. Porthole windows revealed... wait, I could see out the window, meaning I was either close to the surface, or the entire base was. My next revelation was with a seemingly stationary dead fish moved past us. Meaning this was a form of submarine.
Soldier: Sir, this one is just standing there like a drugged cat...
Second Soldier: Is it alive? Oh god it's alive!
Soldier: It's looking right at us! Shoot!
Commander: Stand down! There's still time... it looks like a fresh wound.
The commander walked towards me and pulled out a syringe. He tossef it towards me.
"If you start experiencing... weird things... use this.
I ran away, immediately using the syringe, and then I made my way through the submarine. After roughly 12 minutes of walking through halls, I found the controls... along with several armed guards and a pilot. I decided I'd skip that part... I turned around to see a zombie herd running savagely towards me. I ran towards them, and they just passed me... could be my arm. I lost feeling in my right hand, it was replaced with slight pain. I watched as the zombies used extreme skills to kill the armed guards, who put up an honorable fight. As some fed, others began mimicking the pilot, by actually using the wheel. They steered the sub above water momentarily, then down. I walked towards the zombies and they looked at me, then continued their activities. I picked up a combat knife, since I don't know how to use guns, and I stabbed one in the back of its neck. This was met by anger. The zombies lunged at me and attempted to bite, but I killed them one by one, losing the combat knife in the skull of the last one.
Looking at the window, it appeared as if I was about to crash on a shore, so I turned around and ran. I steered to the surface of the water and then I allowed the ship to slide ashore. Several other survivors had been watching me and cheered, before one released a grenade into the room and we all turned and ran.
