In Nintendo Life announced that ex Nintendo president, Hiroshi Yamaushi passed away yesterday, September 19, 2013.

If you're a modern day Nintendo fan, you'll probably don't know who's that guy. Yamauchi was president for Nintendo during the NES all the way to the GameCube era.

So, let's have a moment of silence for him.

God bless him.

Hiroshi Yamauchi was president before Nintendo was a video game company. As we all know, Nintendo was a card company, sex hotel, taxi service, and even made ramen soups. Nintendo was about to be bankrupt until Yamauchi decided that Nintendo will make video games. Fortunately, Nintendo actually survived and began making video games.

Before Game & Watch games, Nintendo made the TV Game 6. It had 6 different games, including a copy of Pong.

So thanks to this man, Nintendo exists today.

Discuss something about him below.

From 1949-2002, he was president of Nintendo... A VERY LONG time before they became a gaming company. I first heard about this death on my trustworthy BBC news app. =(

He lived a good life. He shall be in Heaven.

@Iron
Your math is way off.

2013-1999=/=16

I turned 16 in July, I was actually born couple of months before Star Fox 64 was released in 1997.

I did heard about him when I was young, but I didn't know him exactly .

I cried a little reading this.
Probably sleeping, probably eating.

^ I didn't cried, but yea, it's very sad for us, Nintendo fans.

I know he was a complete ass to 3rd parties, and is the reason for the 3rd party exodus from the N64.

Hate to speak ill of the dead, but it's true.
Mewtwo21 (2013-09-24 04:45:57)
^True he was one but that was very disrespectful of you and you know it. You just don't say these things when someone dies, you mourn for them with respect.

He was great man who steered Nintendo into what it is today. May he rest in peace.

Pika wouldn't like it if we disrespected him if he dies. If he's gonna hate on him, go to Xbox and/or PlayStation fan sites.
