A 3DS version will be the pocket edition, and if you use the Circle Pad Pro, the controls will be the best.
A Wii U version will be amazing, too. Using the Wii U Game Pad can be used to change items from your inventory easily, and quick. But, I have to agree, it might not come to it. It's not impossible, but the chance is very slim.

A WiiU version would be perfect fit for the system, you look at miiverse and awhile back a a bunch of peeps wanted minecraft on WiiU.
A 3ds edition would be the pocket edition plain and simple.
The pc version will always be the best no matter what, you can mod, your more free to do things, etc.

When I started up Minecraft one day I noticed on Dinnerbones tweets that they where in japan with some staff over there. I don't know what this could mean on whether it was business or vacation. But it shines some light on Minecraft being on some Japanese system such as a 3DS or WII U. Just a shot in the dark.
