I have never really played any scary games... except for one, which is more 'tense' than 'scary' - it's called "Sir, You Are Being Hunted" (or "Madam, You Are Being Hunted", respectively) and it's a FPS game where you are being hunted by steampunk robots. To escape you have to collect all the fragments of the device (I think there are 25 or so in total).
