This is a bit late, but here are some nice 3DS related sales figures for you.

-The 3DS has sold over fifteen million units in less than a year.

-Super Mario 3D Land is the best selling 3DS game, at over five million copies sold

-Mario Kart 7 comes in second with over four million copies sold

-And in third place is the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, with over two million copies sold.

Sadly, despite these very positive numbers, Nintendo still made a pretty hefty loss. Hopefully that will change in the months to come.
