Cranky Kong is the original Donkey Kong, so I honestly think that's a nice addition.

But seriously, they failed at VGX.

@mega-At least DK hasn't been casualized like Mario.

@mega I personally love the DK series, it's much more different than mario in every way possible, and the graphics weren't really impressive. Also Miyamoto never said that, it was just a fake rumor.

Nintendo hasn't tried to make the Wii U seem "hardcore" since all the launch ports bombed. They've said multiple times it's about family blah blah blah. The irony is that more children and Moms and Dads play CoD and GTA than so called "family friendly" games these days.

I think the people who expected anything big were the ones to blame for such a disapointment. I know this is late but the VGX website said that Nintendo would be their to just show off a demo on a game they already announced. And based on what Nintendo been doing before , they would talk about the NEXT big game they were going to release ( DK:TF).
