Set to have an English Localization in January of 2014, ported to the PSVita, I thought I should open a thread to discuss the game for those who've played it before via the Project Zestubou fan translation or on their own, and for those who've never heard of it and might find it interesting.

If you've never heard of it, the premise is rather simple.

Dangan Ronpa is a visual novel set in Hope's Peak academy, a high school where exceptionally talented students are gathered. It is said that graduating from this academy guarantees success in life. You, as new student Makoto Naegi, are chosen by lottery to attend as the "Super Duper High School Luckster" On your first day, upon entering the academy, things take a rather dark twist.

I don't have to say this, but please keep context sensitive information and plot elements in Spoilers so as to not ruin the experience for those who haven't played it.
