PokeMafia Grunt: "You got tha money, Professor?"
Professor: "I swear I'll have it by Thursday!"
PokeMafia Grunt: "Wrong answer" *Shoots rapidly at him*

spadeguy (2014-01-29 02:43:58)Aaron, Ryan, the "stranger", and the Professor stood waiting for me to write this part of the story.
"Ahh come on! Aaron guy picks first?" Ryan said, "Dev and I have been waiting here forever!"
Aaron looked over at the person Devlin was talking about. He barely noticed when he ran in, but it was her. She couldn't hide her ocean blue hair, but her hood was up, making it appear as though she was a guy.
"D-Dev? Is that really you?" Aaron stammered, heart racing, "How's it going? I haven't seen you si-"
"Pick. So we can leave this place, then we'll talk."
"People, people, we're running out of time." The professor said impatiently, "I've got things to dom so here. Aaron, you like grass? Take it. Ryan, fire or water?"
Ryan grinned, and shouted
"FI-" before being hit in the head by a pokeball. The professor turned quickly to Dev.
"That's fire. Okay, Dev, take this one. Water!"
He tossed it to her, and made his way back to the other 3. Before he could reach them, a bolt of lightning halted him in his tracks. He fell semi-unconscious, and hit the floor with a thud.
"Well well... Jolteon, back!"
Aaron turned around to see a blonde haired man in a tuxedo. His hand was in the air, and in it was a pokeball. It glowed yellow as the Jolteon re-entered it, then stopped.
"You may now enter, Red has been... what's a smart word for "knocked out"? Eh... come on in."
Suddenly, 3 people entered from behind him, and ran swiftly towards the other wall as Aaron, Ryan, and Dev tended to the semi-unconscious professor Red.
They ran to the suitcase and eack took one of the pokeballs. The blonde man turned to leave and said
"Skye, Ty, Matt... clean things up here..."
Ryan stood up and ran towards the man before he could leave, then threw his pokeball.
"FIREBALL ATTACK!" The pokeball burst with flames as a Fennekin erupted from it. The man with a tuxedo took an effortless step to the left, dodging the pokemon and fire.
The Fennekin ran towards Ryan and began licking his arm. Ryan fell to his knees and began cuddling it.
"Aww, who can't read the tone of this scenario? You can't. Yeah that's right!"
The intruders were all wearing the same type of clothing. Button-up shirts with grey sweatpants. The shirts were all different though. One wore a brown shirt, and couldn't care less about the situation at hand.
"Aww man! He gets to play with his?" The brown shirted boy said.
"Hey, shutup Ty! Just pick one of these guys and battle. I got this one though..."
Said the green shirted one. He stepped forward.
"Hello, I'm sorry we had to do this. We've got our own reasons. My name is Matt, and these are my friends Ty and Skye. They're twins." Matt began walking toward Ryan, Aaron, and Dex.
Dex put her hood down revealing her dark blue hair. She dropped her pokeball to the ground, and after a stream of bubbles a Froakie appeared. It croaked, and looked at Ryan's Fennekin. It spat a bubble at it, then looked around.
"Hey! Control your child, mam." Ryan said, irritated. "I'll stop this guy, you get the girl twi-"
"No." Aaron interrupted. "Dex and I can take want these guys. Ryan, you and Fennekin go take the professor to the Pokecenter."
"What!?" Everyone else in the room said in unison.
"Well they'll fix him." Aaron continued, "The next town has somewhat weak pokemon on the way... I'll take Matt, and one of the twins."
"Okay then, mister tough guy. This Pokeball had a note with it's name. You may want to watch out."
Matt pulled up his sleeves, and tossed his pokeball directly at Aaron, and shouted.
"HONEDGE, USE IRON HEAD!"
Out of the Pokeball, a Honedge flew, sharp point first, directly at Aaron. A stream of solid bubbles pushed it off course, and it barely missed Aaron's head.
"I guess it's my turn." Aaron chuckled out. "If Ryan got Fennekin... and Dex got Froakie... okay!" He threw his Pokeball, and shouted.
CHESPIN, USE HEADBUTT!
In midair, a spiraling breeze of leaves came out of the glowing pokeball. A Chespin burst from it, but was blocked by Honedge.
Aaron had a competitive grin.
"Okay then, I'll call you Chespin for now... Chespin... as for you Matt." He pulled his straw hat over his shoulders and put it on.
"Let's battle. If I win, you're going to answer some questions."

spadeguy (2014-01-30 00:00:42)Aaron and Matt stood opposite each other, as their pokemon were locked in a fierce battle fight. The Honedge attempted to slash Chespin, but all attacks were dodged. However, everytime Chespin hit, the Honedge seemed unharmed.
"Ha! My Honedge is a Steel-Ghost type! Tackle won't affect it." Matt said contently, "So... Honedge, USE SLASH!"
Honedge swung itself at Chespin, who staggered backward but in the blink of an eye was punched forward from behind by a Riolu. The boy with the brown button up shirt chuckled.
"Guess what pokemon I got, heheheh." He said, "My name is Ty, and starting now these guys are all playing for second. Now, RIOLU USE DRAIN PUNCH!"
The Riolu charged at Chespin, who began to grow scared. As Chespin began to quiver, the Honedge also made its way to it. For a split second, Chespin seemed to lose hope. Time began to go slower and it looked at Aaron, who was smiling. Chespin was smart enough to know he didn't know much. He also knew who the smiling boy was; his partner. In this instant, Chespin gained a rush of inspiration. He ducked under the Honedge's slash and the Riolu was swept away by a stream of bubbles.
Dev smiled and pointed at the girl in pink button-up shirt, as if it was a challenge. Her Froakie hopped swiftly towards her feet.
"Thanks for the save, Dev" Aaron said, "I'll stall these two long enough for you to beat her."
"No problem," Dev replied, her smile quickly shifting to a murderous grin,"...but I'm still gonna have to have that chat with you."
Aaron sighed, then turned back to Chespin and that battle.
"Well I guess I should introduce myself, Dev." The girl in the pink shirt said with attitude, "I'm Skye, and I don't know what's in this Pokeball, but I do know it's gonna destroy that Froakie."
Skye hurled her pokeball, and in a bright pink light, a Sylveon appeared. Skye looked at it, dissatisfied.
"Crap... well Fairy-Type is pretty good, considering I've studied the moves Fairy type pokemon can use. Prepare to lose!"
"Whatever..." Dev sighed. "Froakie, use bubble-beam, then do it again from above!"
Froakie rushed forwards and spat stream of bubbles at the Sylveon. The opposing pokemon nimbly avoided the stream but was hit again from above. In the air was Froakie, who jumped high up and stuck to the ceiling, and was firing bubbles down from above. Sylveon slid on its side to a stop, rolled over, and got back into the fight.
"Sylveon, use disarming voice!" Skye shouted frantically.
Sylveon shouted loudly at the ceiling, sending shock waves at Froakie. The ceiling began to crack and shatter, and Froakie jumped down just in time.
"FROAKIE, USE POWER WHIP!" Dev shouted.
Froakie whipped his tongue at a high speed, striking Sylveon and sending it back towards its trainer.
"No!" Skye said, "I know, Sylveon, use dazzling gleam!"
Sylveon got back up and opened it's mouth. A light sparked and then sparked even more. A bright pink beam of light shot out towards Froakie, and he jumped into the air. The beam curved upwards towards him, and struck the frog for a direct hit. Froakie fell to the ground and lay there.
"No... it can't be..." Dev said, "...a critical hit... no. FROAKIE GET UP!"
Froakie blinked and attempted to stand, but was rammed by Sylveon. It slowly closed its eyes.
"Froakie, please! You can do it..." Dev shouted,
"I-I need you..."
Froakie quickly opened its eyes and stood up, shaking, then shouted.
"FR-FROAKIE FROAKIE"
"Yes! You're okay!" Dev exclaimed, "We're gonna need to go all out, okay Froakie?"
Froakie nodded and turned to Sylveon who was charging another dazzling gleam.
"What?!" Skye said, shocked at the strength of the opposing Froakie, "Whatever... USE DAZZLING GLEAM AGAIN!"
Froakie shot several large bubbles into the air, each larger than itself, and jumped onto them one by one. The Sylveon released its attack and curved the beam upwards at the agile frog.
"Okay Froakie!USE BUBBLE BEAM!"
Froakie backflipped off of the highest bubble, and shot a powerful stream of bubbles into it. The pink beam of light coming from the Sylveon collided directly with it, causing a shockwave. Chespin, Riolu, and Honedge all stopped fighting to stare at the monstrous collision.
"NOW FROAKIE, USE POWER WHIP"
Froakie, ceased fire, and made itself a large bubble to stand on. He then dipped into the bubble, and floated defenseless in the air. The dazzling gleam seemed to completely destroy the bubble and Froakie. The Sylveon stopped, content with what it assumed to be the obliteration of its opponent, but when the light died down, Froakie was still in the bubble, unharmed. He leaped out of the bubble and whipped it at the Sylveon with his tongue. The Sylveon fell unconscious, and in a beam of light returned into its pokeball.
"I... I lost..." Skye said.

"Why are you excited, you haven't done anything..." Dev said, "Okay, I'm gonna help you now!"
Aaron smiled. "Hear that Chespin, hold out a little longer! Dev and her partner are gonna- wait, no... crap..."
"What"?!? Froakie is str-" Dev began, but was interrupted. Aaron stopped smiling and turned to her, while pointing at Froakie.
"You see that Pokemon? It's hurt. It took a direct hit from that girls Sylveon..."
"Hey! I have a name!" Skye shouted.
"Yeah, cool story... anyway, Chespin isn't much at all. He's managed to dodge all the other Pokemon, and all hits he's taken haven't really done much... take Froakie to the next town..."
Dev looked at her Froakie, and then back at Aaron.
"...b-but... no, I need to hel-"
"YOU NEED TO LEAVE!"
Dev was speechless. She looked away and raised her Pokeball, returning Froakie to it's ball.
"Whatever... we're having that talk later on in the series though though." Dev winked at
"Okay then! Now is when the real fun begins!" Aaron said to his opponents,
"CHESPIN, USE HEADBUTT!"
Chespin had been on the defensive for most of this fight. It dodged a stroke of Honedge's blade and then headbutt Riolu, who left marks on the ground as he slid back.
"Riolu! USE AURA SPHERE!" Ty shouted.
Riolu held both hands forwards and a surge of force sped at Chespin. Chespin barely evaded the attack, and it hit a generator in the background. The generator caught fire, and exploded.
The entire lab began falling apart, and the searing flames began to ravage paperwork. Coils whipped in every direction and released electricity as computer screens burst and pillars of fire rose from the ground, and the already damaged ceiling began to fall apart slowly. This was an intense situation, but not too much at all.
"...no... not fire... Chespin, we gotta finish this!" Aaron shouted.
"Come on, USE HEADBUTT!"
"Oh, it'll end alright," Matt said, "Honedge, show him who's boss! USE SLASH!"
Honedge slashed at Chespins head, but it's attack was deflected by Chespins hard helmet like shell. Chespin rushed forwards and tackled Honedge back a little. Riolu rushed Chespin from behind and punched him, and then ran forward again for another attack Suddenly, two split coils collided with each other above the pokemon and sparks showered upon them. All three pokemon were paralyzed. Then, a sudden burst of flames shot up and engulfed the pokemon.
Aaron watched in horror, and looked around for his pokeball. He began to panic and fell to his knees.
"DAMNIT!" he shouted, "HELP!"
Ty and Matt looked at each other, and then raised their pokeballs but an explosion toppled them over and as they fell, their pokeballs rolled into the flames. They tried to get to their feet, but another coil whipped sending Ty out cold.
Aaron stared at the flames. He could see the pokemon, and they were okay... just surrounded by fire... He paused and took a deep breath. This wasn't good, the flames were spreading at an unreal rate. He just started his adventure, and had no intention of losing anyone to anything. He closed his eyes and ran towards the flames and sparks. A bolt of electricity struck his back and he fell. He struggled to get up, and collapsed.
"AARON! STOP YOU'LL DIE!" Matt shouted.
What's with this guy? It's like he doesn't know when to quit...
He began crawling, and almost got closer to the flames separating the pokemon and himself, but Riolu began to cry.
"Oh god..." Aaron said, finding the strength to stand up. "I gotta get the others fast." He averted the flames and found his way towards Matt and and unconscious Ty.
"Matt, come on! We gotta go, Riolu is gonna freak!" He said, helping Matt to his feet. "I'll get Ty."
Aaron rushed to Ty, and held him on his shoulder, then made his way out.
"...why?" Matt said. "Why would you help us? We stole the pokemon..."
"Yeah... I guess you did, but you shouldn't die because of it." Aaron said, then chuckled, "Besides, I don't think I wanna train a male Sylveon."
"It's a male?"
"I think so. I wasn't close enough to tell."
They reached the exit, and Aaron led Ty and Matt a safe distance away from the building.
"Okay." Aaron said, "I'm going in. I'll be right back though." He sprinted away.
Matt looked at Ty, who was just waking up.
"Good, you're awake."
"Did we win?" Ty asked, wiping his brown shirt off. Matt stared at him and laughed.
"No, go tell the boss... oh, and tell him one more thing..." Matt said.
"I quit."
*meanwhile*
Aaron dived directly into the flames surrounding the pokemon.
"CHES-CHESPIN!" Chespin shouted in happiness.
"No time! Uhh, here!" He tossed Chespin and Riolu over the fire. "Hurry outside!"
He stared at Honedge.
"Really? Just float over it!"
Aaron dived back through the flames and left.

spadeguy (2014-02-04 02:16:35)*The Next Day*
The sunlight beamed down on Aaron as he walked along the dirt road, picking at the broken pokeball Chespin had first been in. He decided to wait a day until he left for the next town, so now he had a long walk ahead of him. Chespin walked along with him merrily grinning at the realization that he couldn't be placed back into the pokeball. Past bright green bushes with Oren berries, which were completely useless. The sounds of the Pachirisu nimbly racing one another across the woodland environment, occasionally quarreling with the Starly who occupied the same airspace in search of prey. Heck, I should do a documentary series on Pokemon. Whatever though, Aaron was moving towards the next town.
[In the next town over]
"Ahh! So this is Comet Town?" Dev said aloud, "Well certainly a nice cozy place, but that's not what I'm here for."
Comet town is relatively small, square shaped town, with a Pokecenter located directly in the center. There was a cave to the north of it (which was the only way to the next town), a Pokemon gym, and an old man known simply as "The Collector". Dev was after the pokemon gym, but first she needed to prepare. First off was... a partner!
Comet town was based on the premise of friendship. This meant that all Pokemon gyms must be challenged by teams of two, and all gyms were operated by teams of two. The whole point was to make it so that friends could help each other and strategize, then take on the gym together.
Luckily for Dev...
"Do we have to?!" Ryan sighed, looking around, "Why are we at the town entrance anyway?! I don't really even care about the whole gym scene! I'm only after the adventure!"
"Good one..." Dev laughed, "...I know how much you wanna adventure, but you'll never beat Aaron that way." Dev reached into her bag and grabbed a pokeball. "You don't use your Fennekin's Pokeball do you? Smart, it could build your bond." She pressed the button while hurling it into the forest behind her."
Fennekin, who had been running around the entire time looked at Ryan with a wild, cutesy look. Almost as if it was using charm. Ryan grinned, then pat it's head.
"Aww, you wanna go fetch it? Go for it!"
Fennekin rushed off into the forest and disappeared.
"You know, I think he's awesome." Ryan said, "Fennekin has so much energy! He's good at fetch too!"
Dev smiled.
"No... you didn't?"
"Oh I did..."
WHOOSH!
A stream of bubbles sped past Ryans head, pulverizing a bush. Soon, Fennekin ran back to Ryan, being chased by a Froakie.
"Okay then... Fennekin! RAM THAT FROG!" Ryan shouted.
Fennekin sprinted towards Froakie and launched itself at the Frog, but its attack was easily dodged.
"FROAKIE... USE BUBBLE!" Dev commanded.
Froakie spat a bubble at Fennekin, who shot an ember at it, popping the solid bubble. Froakie began to whip at Fennekin with his tongue but the attacks were easily dodged, then the fox rammed the Froakie into a tree. Froakie shot a stream of bubbles at Fennekin. The rate of fire was far too much for Fennekin to dodge and he took a direct hit, collapsing to the ground.
"Your Fennekin could use some training..."
"I-I know... I'll go to the Pokecenter..." Ryan said, picking up his Fennekin.

Dev: ...
Ryan: So... hear about the superbowl?
Dev: What's a superbowl? It sounds stupid.
Ryan: ...
Okay, I guess we can go back to Aaron's adventure.
"So... are you a nut?" Aaron said to Chespin, who was frolicking around, "Well whatever you are, I accept you!" He began tickling Chespin, but the reaction wasn't laughter, but a headbutt to the head, followed by a battle cry.
"CHES-PIN!"
"Wow... are you really that simple?" said a voice in the distance, "...well I can't really judge, I practically lost to you."
About 10 paces away was Matt and his Honedge. Chespin growled as Honedge flourished... itself? After a long wait, Aaron broke the silence.
"Wanna team up?" he said calmly, "It'll be easy, considering the whole team gym thing going on here."
"Really?" Matt said, "Well if it's something to do... okay."
Aaron laughed and jumped with happiness.
"You hear that Chespin?!? We got 2 more friends!"

(semi-filler)
The next day, Aaron and Matt arrived at Comet town. Honedge and Chespin showed no signs of friendship other than constant back and forth sparring, if that even counts. Aaron and Matt even decided upon a team name, Team Pinedge.
"We're lucky to have survived that lab explosion." Matt said, entering the Pokecenter, "I'm even luckier to have caught up with you when we were both lost in that forest."
"No, you got lost. I was just exploring is all..."
Matt laughed, then looked at Chespin and Honedge. They looked happy, but were obviously hurt.
"Hey Aaron, we should get some potions... uh, I'll get some supplies and meet you here at dinnertime."
Aaron nodded.
"I'll go explore around town with Chespin! Maybe I'll get some training in."
As he exited the Pokecenter, Matt looked away and sighed.
"I'll tell him later... later for sure."
*in town*
Aaron ran with Chespin swiftly waddling along with him. They passed stores and houses without even a care, but a large field with about 4 people in it caught his attention. They had pokemon, and seemed to be talking. Aaron and Chespin approached the group, then recognized them. He sprinted to them, with Chespin hanging onto his leg.
"RYAN, DEV, PROFESSOR! IT'S ME AARON!" He shouted. They all rejoiced and ran to him.
"Wait... who's this guy?" Aaron asked, "... and why is he looking at Chespin?"
The man wore a red cap with the pokeball insignia on it, and a blackish blue shirt. He looked at Aaron.
"You can call me Platinum. I'm a professor, just like Red here. Only I'm here for a competition, you'll no doubt be there eventually."
Platinum walked around Aaron and Chespin, examining various articles of clothing and such. "Your Chespin hasn't fully understood nature yet... therefore it cannot control the aspects of nature. It's as good as normal type!" He said laughing, "But it's pretty close! Oh, and that ring you have on that straw hat of yours has some real value. Keep it, and go train."
Aaron and Chespin stared at each other, then at Platinum.
"What? I don't even know what nature is?"
"Allow me to explain."
Battle Mechanics with: Prof.Platinum!
So all pokemon other than most pure fighting and pure normal ones have the ability to control aspects of nature. While many are born with it, with some it is latent. Meaning that it must be unlocked. This is part of a phenomenon known as the "Learning Curve", a metaphorical ranking system used to show the level of skill a pokemon posesses. At lower parts of the curve, average pokemon reside. The higher you are on the curve, the more skill you pokemon have and the more moves you can use. If you're a pokemon...

spadeguy (2014-02-14 16:51:04)Episode 7: Teamwork!
After several weeks of training as a team, Aaron and Matt were finally prepared to take on the comet town gym!
"Well well well," Matt began, "What do we have here?" Honedge cut open the box that rest between him and Aaron. Inside were two bags, pokedexes, and a note.
Aaron read aloud,
"Matt, and Aaron. Thank you for taking on the challenge of completing the Pokedex, as I've done years ago, and am only giving this to you to see if you can. I also put in some ender-bags. Basically shared inventory. Don't ask where I got it from, and if anybody asks you, run away. Sincerely, Professor Platform"
Matt just sat there.
"Professor what? Platinum?"
"Nope, it says Platform right here... whatever. Lets hit the gym!"
They arranged their bags, and strangely enough the inventory was shared. Anything in one bag was also in the other. The Pokedexes were also weird. They had all the pokemon, except for about 10.
Shortly enough they reached the gym and entered through the large doors. A man in a suit greeted them.
"Hello challengers, this is the Comet town Gym. You'll find Flying type pokemon in this gym. Good luck!"
Matt attempted to talk "So... wher-"
"Hello challengers!" The man said again, "This is the Comet Town..."
"Lets just go..." Aaron said.
In the gym!
Team Pinedge entered the gym, to an astounding view. Trainers battled on floating platforms, suspended in the air above a pillowy cloud material. The walls were designed to look as if they were above the clouds, and stretched on forever. The ceiling, however was open to the sky. A nice man in a tuxedo approached them and handed them a rock case, then went back to the corner.
"Huh... weird..."
"CHESSY-CHESPIN!" Chespin said eagerly.
"Yeah, I'm excited too." Aaron said. Lets get started, maybe we can use some special attacks now that your up on the learning curve." He said confidently, pulling his straw hat to his back.
Matt looked at Honedge.
"You good pal?" he said awkwardly. Honedge flourished its blade and let out an eager screech.
"Haha, good!"
They walked towards the first floating platform, and it hovered towards another platform. Two circular platforms floated next to Aaron and Matt.
"I think these are ours." Matt said, "Obviously."
The trainers stepped onto the platforms and floated a close-but-safe distance from the battle platform, then they saw their opponents.
"You guys think you can beat us!?" One man said.
"Ha! That's funny! We'll beat the gym leader for sure!" The other finished.
"Oh yeah? Lets go then!"
The opposing trainers sent out Bidoof and Kricketot.
"Okay then Aaron!" Matt said,
"You ready?"
"Yeah, our new battling style is ready!" Aaron said, "LET'S GO!"

spadeguy (2014-02-14 23:32:44)Amateur League Battles!
Chespin and Honedge were battling machines, having had almost a week of prep time and training with Prof. Platinum. Honedge was after the opposing teams Bidoof, slashing constantly at the Poke-Beavers body. Chespin wasn't playing around either, he was... asleep...
"CHESPIN!" Aaron and Matt shouted in unison,
"Uh... what do we do?!" Aaron asked Matt, "Kricketot is messing Chespin up!"
Matt reached in his ender-bag and pulled out a vial.
"THROWING FRAG!" He shouted, tossing it at Chespin. It 'sploded on the sleeping pokemon, waking it up.
"Chespin! Get that stupid bug!" Aaron shouted.
Chespin headbutted Kricketot into Honedges blade, causing Kricketot to be sent back into its pokeball.
Bidoof rammed into Honedge, but nothing happened. Chespin tackled Bidoof. Endgame.
"Urgh! You beat us!" The opponents said in unison, "Well, here's our stone!"
The challengers platforms hovered away.
"Well... what did they mean by that?" Matt said. "Oh wait! Our stone case! It's got a digital number!"
"You need 2 to get to this gym leader." A voice said, "When battling, stones are imaginary points used to show how many teams you've beaten in all amateur gyms you've been to."
Two more platforms floated forward, revealing the next challengers. On the left was a blonde girl wearing a black dress, and on the right was a boy with thick glasses and a sweater vest.
"N-no... it can't be." Matt said, "Gene... Mavis."
Aaron stood confused.
"Matt? Who are these guys?"
"We're your opponents. You know, the master doesn't like when people just leave. No goodbye, Matty?"
"What?" Matt said, "Well whatever! Aaron, they're bad guys, and we don't wanna lose to them."
"Whatever, I just wanna get our last stone!"
"I apologize, Aaron, I'm Mavis." The girl said, "My teammate is Gene, a prodigy at battling. Ready? Don't care."
She tossed out a Litwick, and Gene sent out Abra.
"I'm pumped... LET'S GO!" Aaron said, putting on his straw hat. Matt threw some potions out, healing Chespin and Honedge.
Battle START!
"Regular Mode guys!" Aaron said, Honedge and Chespin began doing their own thing.
Honedge slashed at the air, sending razor sharp waves through the air. Litwick recieved most of the attack, but tanked through it, firing embers back at Honedge for a serious hit. Honedge screeches in pain.
"Urgh... CHESPIN, Specialty!" Aaron shouted.
"Honedge, charge power!"
Chespin began concentrating his energy into the environment. Suddenly vines grew out of the platform.
"W-what?!?" Mavis shouted, "This isn't even dirt..."
Gene pushed his glasses back, in true anime fashion.
"It doesn't have to be. That Chespin is the source of these vines. Like Arceus creating us, Chespin may create these living plants at will, and control them."
"Heheheh... Chespin has you covered!"
The vines lashed at the opposing pokemon. hitting Abra off of the platform.
"Yes!" Aaron said, "2-v-1 brah!"
"No it isn't."
Abra suddenly appeared, directly in front of Chespin. It slashed Chespin in the face, but was whipped by another vine.
"Flaming fury on Chespin." Gene said briefly. "Quickly."
Litwick shot off a fireball, and it slowly floated forward. Abra teleported behind it.
"W-WHAT!?! Chespin, VINE WHIP!
The fireball suddenly grew tentacles and all of them whipped at Chespin, who made a barrier of vines to protect himself, all of which cindered into ashes. Chespin made its way towards the Abra, who was telekinetically controlling the fires shape, and dived in for a tackle, but was hit by an ember and fell. Streams of fire began slamming into Chespin.
"Ha, watch as we destroy you!" Mavis said, "You'll never-"
"Done." Matt interrupted.
Mavis: What?
Matt: I said done.
Gene: You will be soo-
Matt:HONEDGE NOW!
Honedge glowed with a purple aura and slowly floated towards the opposing pokemon. They stopped hammering Chespin, who got up and staggered about with an odd happiness before using rest/falling asleep.
The floating ball of flame began to fire many intertwining streams of psychic flames. Honedge extinguished all of the fire, even the floating ball of flame, with a single blade stroke. Abra teleported behind it and slashed, but it did nothing. Honedge used fury cutter and KO'd it. Litwick attempted to use flamethrower but Chespin awoke and headbutt it off the platform.

Episode One- The Day Things Changed.
Smalltown, a small town where adventures are known to start... this town description sucks, just like the town. The houses all look like regular houses, and almost nothing really ever happens. Up until one day, when a retired trainer and his family moved there. They had just finished unpacking and began to go to sleep.
Aaron, the child of the aforementioned trainer, couldn't wait until dawn. His adventure was just starting here in Smalltown, tomorrow he planned on going on an adventure. At the age of 15, almost 16, he was about the same age his father was when he began his journey in Kalos. Just like his father Aaron still hadn't begun to learn about Pokemon before his journey, and just like his father Aaron had big shoes to fill.
"Tomorrow..." Aaron said to himself, placing his straw hat on his *cough*FUTURE NINTENDO CONSOLE*cough*
"...tomorrow for sure!"
*the next day*
Aarons father, Thomas, sat in the kitchen talking to his wife, Serena...
...what? No? Don't sass me reader, I know the "fanfic shipping bloopitybloo" stuff. This is just for plot... anyway, back to the story.
...Thomas and his wife Serena sat talking about their sons impending journey.
"Thomas, I don't know if he's ready..." Serena said, "I mean you've seen the shows. Statistics show that-"
"Yes, I know." Thomas interrupted. "The statistics are that 100% of child pokemon journeys place the children in intense life or death situations, and 100% of them are only survived due to an extreme level of luck and skill. Wait... here he is."
"Happy marriage mode?"
"Happy marriage mode."
Aaron began running down the stairs, but fell halfway landing directly on his face. He got back up quickly and ran to his parents.
"Mom, Dad! I'm off! I gotta meet Ryan down at the Professors house! Oh crap, I gotta change first!" He shouted. Aaron ran upstairs and ran back downstairs in completely different clothes. He wore his signature straw hat on his head, along with a green hoodie with a black pokeball symbol on it's back. His jeans were baggy, and he had a tote-bag slung over his shoulder.
"WAIT!" Thomas said. "I have something important to tell you you..." he said approaching his son, "It's not easy to find one of those rings." He said pointing to the ring Aaron attached to his hat by a string. "Have fun! Oh yeah, and tell the professor that his talk is still boring."
Aaron stared at his parents.
"...really?" He asked.
"I'm going on a trip, and you don't even wish me luck? Wow... I will have fun. Unlucky fun. Love ya!"
He burst through the door, and ran across town to the professors house.
He ran in just in time, before the Pokemon selction and after the pokemon talk.
"Oh, Aaron! Ryan here was about to take his pokemon. I tho-"
"DIBS ON GRASS!" Aaron shouted running forwards to the 6 pokeballs set out on the table. He reached for one at random.
Almost not realizing that Ryan and... some other guy... were already deciding.
"Okay, I see no reason why you can't pick first... they'll just pick the Pokemon superior to yours. Anywho, let me tell you now, these 6 pokeballs correspond to a complex Pokemon hexagon system. I'll leave it to you, just read the board." The professor chuckled, "See, there are 6 different types of Pokemon in there, I got 3 on eBay that are of a type that is not fire, water, or grass. If you pick first now, you'll have to pick last next."
Aaron nodded, and flicked his hat to his back. The string stopped it from completely falling to the ground, but the ring he got bothered him a little.
Aaron smiled, and looked forward.
"Okay... now what Pokemon are these?"
