2: The only Pokémon caught during the course of the story are Kanto Pokémon, since the story is in Kanto.

Pokemon: Turtwig, Shinx.

He lived in Sinnoh and helped stop Arceus from killing Dialga. For making Arceus happy, he was granted a wish... which was a complete pokedex. He dropped it in water and fled the country, and now lives in Kanto with his pokemon.

Name: Ian

Pokémon: Squirtle, Pikachu.

Bio: Lived in Kalos, but never got a Pokémon. His dad was killed and his mom fled to Hoenn. The S.S. Anne had docked there, so he snuck on. It crashed by Pallet Town, and his mom had moved there. After moving in, Ian met a old rival of his, Gary. Then, Ian got Squirtle from Professor Oak. A young child had a unwanted Pikachu, and gave it to him. Ian never left Pallet Town, though. After a while, he heard of a Pokémon called Mewtwo. That's when he decided to become a true Pokémon Trainer.
