1. This thread isn't that old.
2. Bumping a relatively new thread that isn't over a month old doesn't really deserve a lock.
3. Amaya didn't mean to bump- just asked what 'conviction' meant.
What I mean by lack of conviction? I mean that it seems detached, almost like you weren't trying to make it connect with the audience.

But it probably would've been closed if the Op kept bumping after no one responded. If you want people to read it then tell people to in the chats or message people, or put itin your signature.

Fluxer, just lock/unlock/move threads that you need to. You won't fail because you'll be doing your job. Dubious threads don't always need a lock, either- ask another more experienced forum moderator for help if you want to. Don't feel like you have to be on all the time because there are a bunch of other mods that do their job on here with you.

I wrote this story, so criticism would be nice.

I was just walking home from school one day, and I saw a piece of crumpled up and dirty paper. I always thought finding paper on the sidewalk with something written on it was interesting, as I was a very curious person. But from here on, my life just wasn't the same.
The piece of paper was hard to read, as the writing was faded and the paper was very wrinkly. I could barely make out the words, but it said,
"There is nothing better than death
There is nothing stronger than death
There is no running from death
Death will come to you soon."
I thought that was really weird, but I just figured it was a poem written by someone who was suicidal. I then noticed that nobody else was on the street. That was extremely weird, because minutes ago, it was rushing. The hairs on my neck prickled. I shrugged off the eerie feeling and went home.
Sleep didn't welcome me. It made me glad that it was the weekend, otherwise I couldn't have possibly waken up on time. I woke up at 1 PM, which was extremely late for me. I felt like someone, actually, someTHING was watching me. I felt that weird feeling everywhere. I realized that nobody was home. Was everybody gone? But they would have woken me up.... Remembering the people on the street, I started to panic. I was alone. I ran out of the door and looked in my neighbor's window. Empty. I turned around to run to my friend's house, but right as I turned around, I saw a shadow in the distance and blacked out.
When I woke up, I was in a room with mirrors for walls. It suddenly hit me. The mirrors were for the victims of this psychopath to see themselves being torn apart. How cruel! I tried to get up, but my arms were tied to the chair. I looked around hopelessly. I looked at the room where I would die. I saw a hooded man with a mask and a knife slowly come towards me. I closed my eyes...
and it all ended.
Might make a part two with somebody else discovering the poem.
