I have recently read "To Mods" by Little5. It got me thinking this. "How about a new system for moderating that will make moderating easier". I think I found the perfect solution! May I present to you...

Now, before you are like most users on my previous topic, actually do your job and read this.

Chat Moderating: Basically, this is a shift system of different times and, chatrooms. There is one thing though. This is based on timezone moderating. Also, this will be very hard to explain as this is an advancement.


Moderators will be logging on depending on the timezone they live in. This is the schedule I thought of.

U.S.A Times
Monday-Sundays
Central Time Zone:Currently Taking School
4pm-6pm+
Central Time Zonen Break or Weather Effect or Not in School
10am-12pm+(If you'll wake up that time) or 11pm/12pm-2pm+

Eastern Time Zone:In School
3:30pm-5pm+ or 4pm-6pm+
Eastern Time Zone:Not in school/on break/weather effect
10:30am-12:30pm+(If you want to wake up) or 11:30-1:30pm

You may be thinking I'm going to continue this by adding 30mns each time, but I'm not.

Moutain Time:In School
6pm-8pm+ or 7pm-9pm+
Mountain Timen break, not in school, weather effect.
10am-12pm+(If you want to) or 3pm-5pm+

Pacific Time:In School
5pm-7pm+ or 6pm-8pm+
Pacific Time:Not in school, on break, or weather effect.
10am-12pm+(If wanted to) or 6pm-8pm+

England Times
Monday-Sundays
In School:4pm-6pm+ or 6pm-8pm+
Not in School, Break, Weatherdays:10am-12pm(Optional) or 12pm-2pm+ or 2pm-4pm+ or 4pm-6pm+

Australian Time
Monday-Sundays
If in School:Just 6pm-8pm+ or 8pm-10pm+
If not in school, break, weather effect: 10am-12pm(optional) or 1pm-3pm+ or 7pm-9pm+




Questions that will be asked during this(If this does happen):
What if I'm sick?
Well, you can either get on or not get on. Or, you can inform another mod that's on in your time zone to take your place.

What if I have to go to church on Sundays and/or Wenesdays?
Go to church, then get on the site and mod during a time shift.
What if I'm unable to get on and/or tell another moderator to take my shift?
Then do what you must do. Try to get on if you have any time. If you have no time or internet connection, do not get on.
What if it is 5mns past I was supposed to begin my shift or a bit later?
Then join in the times you're supposed to mod. Join anytime when you get the chance.
Can I do more than just 1 of the options of times I'm given?
Yes, you can do both!


Extra

The "+" sign means you can do it to the end of the time or go a bit longer.
Example:2pm-4pm+
You can finish the shift at 4pm or go a bit longer.

Oh yeah, if you must or have to get off of Plaza during a shift, try to get back on later if possible.

There really shouldn't be a time they should get on/off, they should choose freely whether they come or not. Restricting them is unfair.

@Mega: We don't have mods on "all" the time. I mean, we have them on at certain times, but not all the time. I was just giving an idea. Heck, I wouldn't want this idea to happen. If it did happen, things would turn into chaos or, less complaints would be given behind the mods' backs.

If you read again Jaron, you can see that they can get on exactly on time, later throughout the time, or not. This was an idea. I do not expect this to happen.

Either way, no matter how, there should NOT be a schedule. It's like saying "I'm going to have mega demoted if he doesn't show up at this time." So you are right, don't expect it to happen.

-You compared an idea to your statement wrong.

-I never said you were going to be demodded for not showing up on schedule
