(This is the kind of soulless junkcrap I make when I'm bored.
Feel free to hate.)
Please note that I wrote this on Google Docs and when I copypaste it, 3DP flips out on the apostrophes and quotation marks.

ALSO:
I TYPED TOO FAST. THE TITLE IS SUPPOSED TO SAY 'DACNOMANIA'. NOT 'DANCOMANIA'.

1. Dapocaginous- mean spirited, heartless

"My name is Cyprian Beckett-Lewis."
I spoke to the mirror reflecting a guy I knew too well- purple bags beneath tired blue eyes, tangled mop of black hair upon a well-freckled head.

My eyes drifted towards the frost-bordered window, tiny ice-patterns on the edges crystallizing and forming jagged edges on the glass. An ice army surged on, infecting unfrozen window-part and blooming into new territory.
I took a finger and traced it along the ice formations, wiping out half of the tiny army in one sweep. In my mind they all shrieked as they were crushed, the huge Finger Thing dragging their remains down the side of the window.
My attention then drifted to the wispy black clouds gracing a whitish-grey sky- black death-tendrils strangling the serenity. Within seconds, the inky black had taken over almost the entire sky. Things were going dark. The cloud coffin lid was sliding over my city doomed for death.
I quickly shut the blinds and curled up on my bed.
I just need some sleep. I'm thinking funny.
I closed my eyes and counted to ten as I drifted off into a different kind of black, a sleepy, relaxing black. I was sure I heard a distant thump, the kind of final, end-of-the-line thump you hear when a coffin lid closes on a corpse.
__
And then I woke up.
Nothing more to it, waking up- realizing that there's light on the other side of your eyelids, realizing that your bladder is nagging you to urinate, realizing that you are not where you were and you need to get up, now.
I pried my eyelids open with a crowbar of will and immediately regretted it. Blinding white light flooded my groggy brain and scoured the surface of my eyes. The smell of antiseptic and rubbing alcohol flooded my nostrils. My limbs were unwilling to move, eyes unwilling to see. My jaw was clenched so tightly that I was afraid my teeth would shatter if I turned my head.
I tried calling out.
All that came from my throat was a hoarse, dry whisper, beckoning whatever monsters hid under my bed to my body to suck up my soul.
"Heh."
I tried looking around, opening up my eyes. This certainly wasn't my voice- or at least I was pretty sure I wasn't able to speak right now.
"Ya dun messed up, mista." a girl's voice chided.
Yep, definitely not my own voice. Unless this whole dimensional shift somehow turned me into a woman.
"Eeeghrfh..." I tried speaking again and quickly regretted the decision, a sharp pain in my throat barring me from making any more noises.
"Hang on." the Girl Voice sighed. I saw a pale, cyan-tipped hand hover over my throat for a minute before grasping onto something sharp, clear, and colored blood red. "This may sting a little."
Without warning, a heard a wet schlick as the object slid from- wait, inside my throat?
"You feel numb because you pretty much just fell from the sky into another dimension. You also had a piece of glass lodged in your throat, and, due to the bizarreness of this dimension, you aren't dead. You should feel the wound close up by now." she shrugged and wiped the blood off. "You should also be up and moving in about five seconds."
"Rrgghhh."
Girl Voice extended a pale hand to help me up, one eyebrow raised.
"Whrr mm eai?" I mumbled, wiggling my fingers. Good, I thought. They worked. Ever so slowly, I raised my arm to take her hand and pulled myself up.
"I'm surprised you aren"t panicked about your friends or family disappearing."
"I durn't herv erny fernds er fermerly."
"Wow." she snickered. "That's sad. Look, I have to go. Good luck."
I propped myself up on my arms and looked around again, the scorching white light no longer hurting my eyes. I looked for my savior, dear, dear Girl Voice, who was nowhere to be seen. Instead, sitting there, was a beautiful black cat with piercing golden eyes.
It meowed and began grooming it's sleek black fur nonchalantly, waving it's feather-duster tail at me.
"Hi, lerl cet." I let out a laugh and reached for it, giving it a little tickle between the ears. "I cern't speak perperly right nor."
It seemed to laugh, nuzzling up next to my arm.
"I surpurse we herve to explore, now. C'moern. I'm nerming you... Ayhlin."
__

We were just walking, walking on an empty field of white. Ayhlin's black fur was nice sight when my eyes were sore from the plain white.
"So, Ayhlin, what do you think is in here?" I pondered aloud, reaching down to give her a scratch. "Just plain white? Anything at all?"
Ayhlin meowed, swishing her tail and trotting off in the opposite direction. She stopped and turned around as if to beckon me.
Oh, god, I'm talking to a cat. I've gone crazy.
She began to sprint away in great, bounding leaps, not even looking behind for me anymore. Of course, I had no choice but to follow her. I mean, what's more sad than having a cat leave you behind in an unknown, empty dimension of white nothingness? Nothing.
Seemingly endless footfall melted into silence as my sneakers stopped making noise against the marble white.
"Ayhlin?"
My vision began to blur and my mind couldn't cohere to the manic goings-on. The glue of my universe was melting and I couldn't control it.
