"Welcome, to Black Mesa." That's all that blasted idiot said. Rob, I mean. A man with a black vest and helmet walked over. "Hello. My name is Bean! Let us test the new experiment," he said, cautioully. I followed him into a small room. There were some closets in there with names on them. "Rob, Bean, Epic, Leaf, Sycho..." That was an example of the names on them. Bean said, "Look in 'Epic.'" I opened the closet with my name. There was a suit in there. Near the chest was a symbol. It was a triangle, except it lacked a bottom line. A short stick stuck up from the right, lower part, with the right line going a bit far. At the top of that line, a little stick went out towards the left. I put it on. It wasn't comftorable, but it was steel or something like that, so no idiots could kill me with a crazy expiriment. Bean walked up to a computer and opened a program. "Come here," he said. I promptly walked over to the computer. "Start generator?" text said on the screen. I clicked "Yes." "DON'T MESS WITH-" But it was too late. A large explosion was heard, the lights went out, Bean grabbed a flashlight... When he aimed it at me, the world went dark.

Explain what Half-Life is to those who don't know.
What if the reader didn't know what Black Mesa was?
