Stop closing your own threads

I've been seeing this happening alot, especially in Feature Suggestions.

So, I'll just point it out, quit closing threads because people don't like them.

Please.

I'm really annoyed by this. Even the threads that are decently good get closed by the user for no reason. Stop. Stop having low viewpoints on yourself and what you make. There's always someone that secretly likes your thread.

Example One show
This is an example from one of meowflash's threads. I, personally, didn't like this suggestion that much, but apparently JaronMC did. -

The Original Post

The "I like this!" Post

The "I don't really like this" Post

This is the closing post

((though, meowflash is the most annoying user when it comes to something like this))

So yeah, please don't always close your thread without a reasonable.. well, reason. Something like "Oh, I didn't realize we already had this" is acceptable to close, but just "everyone hates this idea " is the big no no for this.

The over dramatic "..." Comment before the closing of ones own thread. Classic.

Some threads are pretty decent, and others could be lame. But yeah I know.

It's really annoying and I'm glad someone agrees. 1+

Eh. That's what the option is there for. If the user changes his/her mind on their thread, they should be allowed to close it if they want. ;P

But to be fair, "grounding" is a REALLY stupid idea, it's basically just banning, plus, if a Mod did do that they'd just be demoted.

^ I know that only admins would be able to "ground" it's stupid because if a Mod does abuse their power, you're better off just demoting them.

If a mod stickies a pointless thread as a joke, they grounding seems more neccesary than demoting. It's not like they caused major harm. Being demoted isn't ment for small things like that. Mods are humans too. They also have a thing or two to learn.

The only viable reason to close one's own thread is if a question was being asked and it was answered.
Language is a tool for efficient communication. The internet is a tool for fast communication. Do not defy both intents by posting incoherent writing.

I get so annoyed when the OP gets all butthurt and takes everything too personally so they close their own thread.
Sure, I use butthurt as a platform for making fun of people, but I can't do that if you closed your thread.

IMO, they should do whatever. If it bothers you that much then remake it. People can have reasons for closing their own thread.
