LeonR(2014-05-27 03:04:33)Leonidas was an ordinary enough man, not rich, but not poor, he didn't have a too nice or too horrible car, and didn't have a too big or too small of a house. He was a normal man in every sense of the word, except for one. His legs had been blown off by a land mine in Afghanistan 20 years ago. That was in 2004. It's now 2024. Since then, he has gotten new synthetic legs that look realistic, and allow him to move just as well as he did when he had legs of flesh. But, if he ran for too long, his artificial legs will buckle and he will fall. Despite all of this, he still was able to join the Police Academy, pass with flying colors, and join the Mount Oliver Police Department in Pittsburgh. This is where his, and possibly our, story really begins.
He started his day on May 23rd the way he always does, by getting up, defecating, taking a shower, getting dressed, and driving to work. His car, a 2014 Dodge Ram 1500, is usually a working vehicle, and hardly ever breaks, but that specific day, the Hemi V8 engine under the hood decided to blow. So, our hero (yes, we shall refer to him as that, because to a few people, he is a hero) calls a tow truck, and walks the rest of the way to work, where he walks in and is immediately stopped by the Chief of Police.
"Leon, just the man I wanted to see."
First installment of my entry for the contest. I'll post the rest later.
