The night was cold and still, the breeze carrying away stray autumn leaves that feel silently from the thick, sturdy branches of surrounding trees. Stars dotted the atmosphere like patches of glitter, surrounding the beauty of the luminous full moon hanging in the sky. "Mommy, I'm cold." Muttered a young child, sitting on his frosted over lawn beside a tall, slender woman. "Alright, sweety. Time for bed." She replied, scooping her son up in her arms while she walked back toward the front door of their wooden home. The child yawned and nestled their pudgy peach face into his mother's shoulder as she carried him into a small room. Toys and books scattered the fuzzy carpeted floor while a pile of dirtied clothes sat, looming over the cluttered mess. The woman layed the child down softly onto his bed, which was decorated with scaley dinosaurs. "Goodnight, mommy.." He yawned, turning over on his side while his mother tiptoed away. "Goodnight, Damien." She then creaks the door closed behind her, leaving her now sleeping toddler alone in the dark with nothing but the moonlight shining in through the blue curtains hung over a stainless window.

Damien tossed and kicked in his bed, ruffling up his short brown hair. He opened his eyes only slightly after hearing a silent creak emerging from somewhere in his room before quickly drifting back into slumber. A spindly figure loomed over the sleeping boy, gently stroking his plump cheeks. "So young.." The figure rasped, slowly placing what seemed like a string around Damien's neck. Damien shot awake, staring the figure in the face. Staring blankly at the leathery, pasty almost gray skin that decayed around the cheek bones. Piercing blue, bloodshot eyes. Disgustingly mattered jet-black hair reaching down to its shoulders. It was easy to tell it was the figure of a woman, based on the fact that the figures body was slim and curved luciously. Rags and bandages hung down from the tight black dress worn by the strange beastly woman. Damien tried letting out a scream for help, but he was quickly silenced. The figure gripped both ends of the string, pulling inward. The strong duriable piece of twine clenched Damien's throat, slicing cleanly through his peachy skin. Crimson red blood rushed out of the newely formed wound, staining the sheets and Damien's clothes. Damien began to choke on the cried he could not let out, his world swirling, fading and becoming completely black as the string began to cut through his trachea, cutting off air to his lungs. Tears ran down the slowly dying boy's face as he suffocated with great pain and agony.

The woman smiled, exposing rotting and bloody teeth. As Damien slowly accepted his fate and died, she gripped the sides of his small head and forcefully ripped it upward, the sound of tearing flesh and the thick snapping of bone shot through the room with a loud echo. the door to the room swung open, smashing into the wooden walls. Damiens mother rushed in, terrified and paralyzed. Letting out a sharp scream before the other woman pushed her down. Bolting down the stairway, smashing through the front window with the child's dismembered head clucthed in her hands. Looking back at the house, she covered her face in the rags that had been hanging from her neck. Then, it would seem she had disappeared into the night as a heavy downpour came crashing down onto the earth like a meteor shower.

Arachne shuffled down the middleschool hallway, clutching her binder and textbooks on her way to class. She'd almost made it, but her short gallop was haulted by a leg stretching out in front of her scrawnyl legs. CRASH! Arachne came tumbling down face-first onto the tiled floor with her books. The young Raven smashed into the floor, blood gushing from her tiny nose. As she came into contact with the floor, she could hear what sounded like the fabric of her shirt being torn. She was now lying on the floor, tearing up with a fractured nose and torn shirt. Her binder spilled all over the floor in front of her along with her books and pencils. Everyone around the young girl laughed endlessly, kicking around her stray books. "Oopsy, looks like Spider girl tripped." Remarked an older male amongst the crowed. Arachne looked around, crying as she held her nose in her hands. "Stop it!" Her muffled voice shouted out from behind her tiny hands. Everyone around continued to laugh, ignoring the sounds of the school bells ringing in the background. "Alright, alright, break it up!" Announced a quite stern voice from behind the crowed. Everyone turned to see the school principal with his arms crossed. Of course, he looked quite agitated. "All of you, class! Now!" He demanded, stepping toward Arachne as the immature teenagers made their way into the surrounding classrooms. Arachne looked up at the short man, standing up slowly. "Get yourself to the nurse, dear." He instructed before walking away. Arachne got together her papers and resources, then continued on to the nurses office.

The average height, gangly pale nurse greeted Arachne, directing her to the cold leather seat. She sat, twidling her thumbs while the school nurse fixed her up. "There you go, dearie!" She squeaked in a happy tone, the bun in her gray hair slightly coming undone as she bounced a wee bit. Arachne didn't reply with any tone or expression, she just calmy replied with a "Thanks.." before slowly dragging herself to the door.

Later that day, Arachne skipped down the sidewalk with her bagpack slung over her petit shoulders. She hummed a sweet tune, obviously forgetting about how rough her day was. She remained in a sweet mood, approaching her apartment building around the corner. But, her luck turned for the worst when a couple of taller blonde girls strolled up to her casually. "So, Spider girl, how many bugs have you eaten today?" One of the girls blurted while the other snickered. "I don't eat bugs." Arachne replied in a rough voice. "Alright then. Have you spun any webs? Eaten anyone's heads? Hmmm?" The second blonde asked her, both of them laughing uncontrollably. As if their weak spider related questions were really funny. "I'm not a spider, you dumb hussies." She spat at the blondes, pushing them aside. They both cringed "THE SPIDER TOUCHED ME" one of them shouted, gagging while the other literally rolled around on the grass laughing. Arachne turned toward them, glaring at the two girls fouly before storming off in rage.

When Arachne slammed the apartment door behinf her while furiously slamming her bagpack down, her mother asked if everything was alright. "Everything's fine, just, FINE." Arachne hissed before slamming her bedroom door. She launched herself onto the small bed, burying her face into a pillow while her cries of anguish were muffled by the stuffing and fabric of the common item. Her sobbing seemed to have gone on for hours before she drifted off to sleep, hungry and hurt.

The next day, Arachne arose from bed without saying a word. Carefully brushing her long black hair, and slipping into a black sweater with blue skinny jeans. She remained silent at the table, chewing her food thouroughly. Her mother didn't say a word, not even asking about her nose that remained under bandages. Arachne stood up after 15 minutes of silence, walking toward the door. Scooping up her bagpack, she creaked open the door and left. Not a goodbye, not a wave. She just.. left.

Later that morning, Arachne arrived in her school. Scowling at every teen and tween that caught her eye. One of the blondes from yesterday approached her. Her hair was brushed out like Arachne's, she wore all black and pranced around like a show pony. "My name is Arachne, and I'm an ugly little spider!" She announced vilely while her close friends snickered and chuckled. Arachne could feel her face get hot, and her fists clenching tightly. Arachne glared at the girl, catching her attention. "What? It's not like you're going to do anything about it! HA" Arachne took a step forward, gripping thr girl by her shirt. "Wanna see a spider? I'll show you a spider." Arachne then gripped the girl's arm, biting down hard. Her teeth piercing through her skin like jagged blades, drawing rosey red blood from the girl's veins. "OH MY GOD, GET THIS FREAK OFF ME!" She screamed in pain, trying to rip her arm away from Arachne. The Raven just wouldn't release her grip, locking her jaw in place. The taller girl screamed and flailed, no one doing anything. They just stared, speechl.ess and terrified of the savage teenager. Eventually, Arachne released her tight girp and was thrown onto the floor while the blonde ran away. Arachne felt.. odd. She felt like she wanted it to happen all over again. A burning sensation fluttered through her body pleasureably as she licked blood from her once pure-white teeth. Everyone still stared at her in awe, stepping back slowly as the principal pushed the crowed aside. "MS.EDWARDS, WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS? GET IN MY OFFICE, NOW." He yelled at the girl sitting on the floor. Arachne stood up, wiping blood from her mouth before following the short man to his office on the other side of the school.

"There is no excuse for this kind of behavior for either of you!" He exclaimed at the two girls seated before him. The two girls looked to their feet, not saying a word. "Ms.Edwards, I've contacted your mother. You're suspened for 1 week, as well as Ms.Barrington." He wiped his face with his hand, grunting at the two girls. "Now, away with you. Your parents will be here shortly." Arachne stepped out, along with the blonde. "This is all your fault, Spider girl." The blonde hissed. "Oh, it's my fault you're an insecure who thought it would be a good idea to be a straight up asshole and mock me? I think you broke logic's uteris." Arachne spat back at her, looking away. The blonde had nothing to retort, she huffed and looked away. "Evelyn Barrington?" one of the staff peeked in the detentional room, looking around. The blonde looked up at her "Yes? Is my mother here?" "Yes, she is madame." Evelyn smirked and shot up, scuffling to the door while giving Arachne a dirty look. Arachne growled at her, standing up when her name was called.

Sitting in the car, Arachne's mother said nothing to her daughter. She stayed focused on the blacktop road. Arachne began to drift off into daydreaming, thinking about her little episode that morning. A smile stretched across her face, she'd loved that feeling.. the blood on her teeth.. the screaming of the other girl.. the taste of her fresh flesh. A tingling feeling ran up her spine, making her shiver a bit. Upon arriving at home, Arachne sat in her room for hours. The dark of night approaching, and her mother's time of rest soon coming. Arachne stepped out of her bedroom, looking around. "..." She made her way toward the front door of her apartment.

The night was unusually warm, the air was sticky like a summer twilight. She walked down the dark street, illuminated by streetlights hanging above. Arachne wasn't sure of what she was doing, or where she was going. Something just told her to.. walk. Walk away. Something was making her move her body down the road, toward a large brick house. The Barringtons. It seems Arachne hadn't had enough of the violent episode that struck her early that morning. Looking toward the house, she could see Evelyn's parents leaving her home alone for the night. Waving goodbye, Evelyn ran back into her house and slammed the door shut. Arachne smirked at the site of Evelyn, home alone. "Perfect.."

Arachne approached the tall brick house that loomed over her and the rest of Evelyn's lawn, trying to find an open window. "Bingo.." She'd found an open window toward the back of the house, peering inside, Evelyn was out of site. Quickly, Arachne pushed her scrawny body through the window. Now, she was inside Evelyn's house. Looking around, she spotted the girl sitting in the living room watching television. Arachne creeped into the kitchen, looking around for something like a knife, but all she found was a ball of twine. Almost like spiderwebs waiting to be spun, that weren't sticky. Arachne grabbed the ball of twine and quietly made her way into the living room. Arachne however, failed to sneak up on the poor unsuspecting girl. She tripped over a stray toy left on the floor by her younger brother, tumbling onto the floor with a loud thud, alarming Evelyn. She shot up from the chair, jumping backward. "WHY ARE YOU HERE?" She screamed at Arachne, grabbing the nearest thing to her. A candle. "I couldn't help myself.. eheh.. heh.." Arachne arose from the carpeted floor, gripping the ball of twine. "Stay away from me!" She shouted, gripping the lit candle. "What's that going to do? I could easily put out that weak flame." Arachne chuckled maniacally, stepping closer to the girl. Evelyn lunged at Arachne, pinninng her down while the candle went flying. Hitting the floor and causing a blaze to form from the shag carpeting. "Get off me!" Arachne shoved the girl off by shoving her legs into her gut, throwing her off. The blaze continuously got larger while the two girls stared eachother down. Evelyn pushed Arachne down into the fire and attempted to run. Arachne let out a horrible scream, the flames burning her body like fresh ash. "NOT SO FAST, " Arachne gripped Evelyn's ankle, causing her to fall over into the flames aswell. "AUUUGHHHH" She cried out an agaony as Arachne found the strength to stand up after being horribly burned. She pressed her foot down on Evelyn's back, preventing her fro getting up. "Goodbye, Evelyn." She hissed before wrapping the somehow unharmed twine around her neck, attempting to strangle her with it sadistically. Evelyn's screams and cries were choked out by her trachea filling with blood as it was pierced and cut through by the twine. Slowly, Evelyn died. Her body being burned into a crispy black texture.

Arachne escaped the house fire, coughing and weezing as she ran from the scene. Her skin now leathery and burned, her hair crisp and ashy. She looked back onto the house, smiling widely. "No turning back now.. oh well.. life sucked anyways." She strolled happily into the woods, humming a soft tune. "I guess I really am a spider." She held up Evelyn's severed head, impailing it with a branch. There it hung, as a mark of the Black Widow.

Kill me now.
