Well, Nintendo is starting to license their IPs to other companies.

Their first one was Zelda iPhone cases.
Then recently announced Super Mario Nike shoes.

And don't forget the MK8 McDonald's toys.

But everything else is true what you said.

@Nin10dude, Nintendo has been marketing their properties on toys, clothes and so on since before I was born, and that's saying something. Also, Nintendo has been letting other developers work with their franchises, from the CDi abominations, to Capcom with Zelda: Minish Cap, Grezzo with OOT3D and FSAE, and Team Ninja with Metroid Other M and the new Wii U Zelda game. Just a quick history refresher. :b

@carlos11, that particular example didn't come from me, actually. Pokemon Snap and Stadium were the only Pokemon games I enjoyed; that just happens to be a thing that's been going around online since the dawn of the GameBoy Virtual Console.
