xXAliveXx(2014-07-23 17:03:47)Hello. My name is Spot. I am 7 years old, and today I died.
But before I did, Master and I gathered all the Loud Precious ones, and we went to the park. Master was known as lucy to the other non-Masters, and the Loud Precious ones were what some call "children". Strange name for something so innocent and pure, I know, but for the sake of my story, I'll call them "Lucy and Children".
So Lucy and the Children took me to the park, where we played and played and played like nothing we'd ever done before. They threw my favorite blue frisbee again and again over the fields, and I ran, my legs pumping like every throw was the last, to retrieve it for them.
Eventually, I couldn't run anymore, and as I tried, my legs wouldn't go, and I would fall. But it was okay, because Lucy was there to hold my head in her lap and stroke me when the pain got too bad. I tried not too, but every now and then it hurt so bad I whimpered. That made the Children's eyes leak, so I tried not to let it happen often.
After we played until I could go no longer, Lucy bought me a HUGE meal of hotdogs and hamburgers; things I'd never tasted before! Salty, greasy things that the Children used to drop when they came home with bags smelling of beef...yeah, I got a whole bag of those to myself! But, after a hamburger and two hot dogs, I didn't feel too good, and I had to leave so I could throw up. The Children's eyes began to leak again, and so did Lucy's, so I smiled and pretended it was because I ate so much, not because I was sick! I nuzzled Lucy, "thank you thank you, THANK you!" but her eyes still leaked, little salty tears landing on my head.
I stretched my head up and licked her face clean, and she laughed and petted me.
The pain became unbearable, my paws ached, even as I layed on my side, and my head kept ringing. The Children, one by one, came up to me and told me how much they loved me, and one told me he would meet me in heaven, because he knew I was a good enouh dog to get in. That made me feel good, and I licked his hand.
A man in a suit came, and he pulled out a needle.
I closed my eyes, but kept licking Lucy's hand, which was right there beside me.
Until I couldn't anymore. Finally, the pain from the cancer stopped.
I was free.
