Private Forums

I know we have The Chat Thread and I do enjoy it, but the concept of Private Forums is dumb and somewhat of an oxymoron. Generally speaking, forums are places where someone introduces a topic and anyone can join the discussion. When you create a thread, you're not speaking to anyone in particular. That's because you're addressing everyone. That is the magic of forums.
If you make it private, you're left with an empty thread. You need to invite people. You'll select friends, and those friends will come to your thread. In this way, every thread will just become an ongoing chat. A chat on the forums.
Unlisted forum is still an option, though.

Based on how most apps on the website couldn't stay alive, and how often the whole website is down, I assumed adding really big features like this wouldn't work out very well and cause lag. I don't know much about programming though so I could be wrong.

Since some chat users got to have their own chats at some point, why can't forumers have their own private forum? You can grant access permission to anyone you'd like, and you have the ability to sticky threads in your private forum.
Also, maybe there can be no rules in your private forum?
