Jordyn(2014-08-06 08:07:34)Nobody ever believed me. They thought I was crazy. But, they didn't see what I saw. It started from hearing footsteps in my hallway, to hearing my name being whispered in the darkness.
My dad picked me up to visit me after months of not seeing me and brought me to a diner that was as filthy as a sewer. (Typical cheep ass). He talks a lot, he never shuts the hell up. "I'm so sorry about your uncle, Iris." "What Uncle, what are you talking about?" I thought nothing of it, he's probably just babbling away. He gave me a funny look, "Wait, your mother didn't tell you?"
"Dad, I really have no Idea what you are talking about." He raised his eyebrows and pushed his hair back, "Well...." "And what would you like to order, Sir?" He jumped and and faced the waitress. "Sorry, you startled me. A BLT with a side of fries. What about you, Iris?" "Nothing, this place is disgusting." The waitress looked disappointed. I have no idea why though because she should know her working environment is absolutely filthy. "Be right with you..," she said as she walked away. "Iris, that was rude. You're lucky I don't tell your mother how bad your attitude has been lately." "Oh, shut up. I don't have an attitude."
Later that night, I kind of regretted not ordering from that filthy restaurant, my stomach was rumbling. I walked downstairs to get a midnight snack. "Ugh why is it so dark in h-" just then I heard a loud crash. "Hello? Mom?" I walked towards the switch in the kitchen and turned on the lights. And right in front of me, was a broken plate on the floor and my cat sitting beside it, cleaning himself. "What, do you enjoy getting me grounded?" I swept up the plates and threw them out. I grabbed a bag of chips and ate them until I got tired.
The next morning, I layed in bed thinking about what my dad had said about my "Uncle". I picked up my cell phone and called him because well, I wanted to know. "Hey hun, what's up?" "Uh, Dad? You never got to tell me what happened to my uncle." "Oh, Sorry Iris, your Uncle Mason passed away from drug overdose. I thought you knew. "...No, I didn't." and I hung up the phone. I was furious, why didn't my mom tell me?
And that's when it all started...
Should I continue? I know nothing "scary" happened yet, but I just want some feedback on this story so far, thank you.
