This isn't so much a creepypasta, or even a story, so much as a theory that didn't feel like it belonged in Miscellaneous.

Anyway, the story of Batman as you know it... didn't happen as you think you know it. You see, Bruce Wayne is dead. He died in the alleyway with his parents, and, being a child, didn't believe he was dead. In his mind, he grew up to become Batman to avenge the death of his parents, all the while unknowingly on a mental quest to accept his own death.

Now, I have plenty of evidence that doesn't really break established lore, but as with the theory, you need to be open minded. The first piece of evidence is the utility belt. Yes, grapple guns, smoke pellets, knockout gas, and ninja stars are essential necessities for the Dark Knight, and with Waynes fantasy fortune, it would be easy to fit the gadgets in a compact size. But then there are items that wouldn't fit in his belt, like a club and a saw, and more obscure items that no superhero would begin to consider owning (shark repellent spray, we're talking about you).

Also, have you noticed something about the villains Batman fights? They're all based on something children are usually in touch with on some level. The Joker is based on laughter, and perhaps a fear of clowns. Riddler is based on puzzles and other mind games. Let's face it, Killer Croc is a circus freak, Bane is a wrestler, the Penguin is a shady businessman... every villain is based on some connection to the way children see things.

And don't you think it stops there. Batman and his villains were all made up. So were his friends. All of his friends are based on concepts that most small children obsess over. A last-of-his-kind alien from a long dead planet, a man who can run super fast, a pilot with a magical ring, even an inhabitant of Atlantis. That's right, the entire freaking Justice League is nothing more than a child's dream to escape the nightmarish reality: Bruce Wayne died with his parents and could never grow up to achieve these dreams.

It's a matter of acceptance of death, really. There's an old belief that your spirit, if it's particularly attached to this world, has to go on a personal quest to come to terms with death, and said belief was used in a similar theory about Majoras Mask.

There's a theory that Link died at the beginning or prior to the events of Majoras Mask, and that Termina was his spirits quest to go through the stages of accepting death. Clock Town represents the stage of denial, Southern Swamp represents the stage of anger, Snowhead represents the stage of bargaining, Great Bay represents the stage of grief, and finally, Ikana Valley represents the stage of acceptance, and all areas show a striking resemblance to the respective themes, so the theory is indeed... plausible. Still not official, tho.

And thanks for asking about Tabernacle Of Souls, but the development of the game is currently on hiatus. I've done all I can do on paper, and because of a security leak on my old Facebook page, I had to shut down my account (and therefore, the TOS development page). When I move back to the US, my Fiancee and I are planning to make the soundtrack and release it for free when finished, but for now, I can't do anything, and since I have no support to continue development, when I do begin development again, it's still going to be a trickle of new information here and there. :l

No, I haven't really touched on Village Styx after the incident. It now rests quietly in the jumbled mess that is the development folder. :l
