[This is literally the newest part of a story I'm making out of boredom. It's basically a Smash fanfic without the relationship crap]


"Wait here then..." Shulk said intently to Aaron, "...this Bowser thing doesn't look very friendly." Shulk placed his hand on his sword, but just at that moment Aaron pat his arm.

"We could both take him on and win easily... your Monado thingy wouldn't even need to activate." Aaron said, "But if you think you can handle this, at least wait until he's distracted."

Shulk nodded and then looked over towards Bowser, who seemed to be ready to attack a butterfly. He knew this was his time to strike so he quickly unsheathed his Monado, and then activated it, as Bowser let out a loud roar. Shulk leaped from the tall grass and struck Bowser with great force, sending him flying away.

"I'M REALLY FEELING IT!" Shulk exclaimed, possibly for the cameras that could have been watching.

He deactivated his sword and turned away, but then stood still. His eyes widened in anticipation...
Aaron felt a strong new presence as well as a familiar one.

Aaron ran stealthily in the bushes in search of his previous rival, but was cut off by a strong blunt force. He staggered back, only to be hit forwards by another blunt force. Back and forth he was hit, until he finally caught one of the punches.

"You can't beat me..." Aaron said, while letting go and turning to walk away. "I know it's you Red, and I've gotten stronger..."

"I don't have to, beat you, dude." Red said.

"DAMNIT RED!" Aaron shouted, slamming his fist on the ground.

"Actually, I'd hardly say I was your biggest concern." Robin said, smirking as he pointed towards Lucario.

"Does he look familiar?"

Meanwhile, Shulk was facing off against both Marth and Link. He acrobatically parried several sword strikes before putting some distance between them.

"It's Shulk time!"

The Monado began glowing and several Japanese characters began flashing before he activated it.

The blue laser shot out and he dashed at the two swordsman. Link threw his boomerang, but Shulk ran forward as if unaffected by the powerful gusts of wind. Before Shulk could strike, Marth stepped in front of him and countered his attack. The Monado began glowing a different color, and suddenly Shulk darted forwards and struck Marth. He deactivated the laser, and swung at Link, but was blocked by the shield. The boomerang came back, and Shulk backflipped over it but was overtaken by the gusts of wind, which sent him even higher into the air. Link began shooting arrows at him, but Shulk easily deflected them, and he landed directly behind Link. He placed the tip of his deactivated Monado on Link's shield, (which was on Link's back) and activated the laser. Link was sent barreling into Marth, and Shulk dashed at them again, this time striking them upwards and sending them flying away.

He resheathed his sword, and looked towards the tall grass they were hiding in. Soon enough, a loud explosion nearby caught his attention. He ran over to investigate.

Upon seeing Aaron fighting Lucario and another unfamiliar fighter, Shulk had a vision.

Aaron was stanced above Red while several glowing marks began completely engulfing him to the point where Aaron was glowing completely.

"YOU ACTUALLY KILLED HIM!" Aaron said, his voice echoing in rage. "YOU BASTARD!"

Aaron held his hand out and the Monado suddenly appeared in it, only a spade character was glowing in the circle, the same color as Aaron.
The Lucario seemed to have already been mega evolved, and was holding a weird machine. Lucario dropped the machine and dashed at Aaron.

A single uppercut sent Lucario high into the air, and immediately ended its mega evolution. Aaron turned to Red, who picked up the odd machine, and in the blink of an eye he uppercut him too. He pointed the Monado at them and activated the laser, but this time instead of a laser sword extension, an enormous stream of energy shot out.

Shulks vision ended.

I find that really cool, but in my opinion, too much is going on at the same time.
Apart from that, good job!

Yeah, this is like midway through the story I'm making. Just looking for feedback.
(With a little more context, do you think it'd be easier to follow?)
