Stop the madness!

This website is overtaken by bullies! A lot of my friends have left because of it. You most likely are losing friends too. Please, if you see a bully, please step in! Your three words can make all the difference!

This is a political statement regarding the recent Bellamy crisis. The vast majority of you won't have a clue what I am saying, and make fun of me for posting a cyberbullying thread.

This was in regards to the fact that the moderators make fun of people who post these threads. I couldn't care less about the cyberbullying. This is a prime example of what good moderators and users should do. Help the user create a better post.

I originally posted just a cyberbullying thread, to provide example of ridocule they provide. Lani was smart enough to catch on. Everything below the '#' above was not in the original thread.

P.S. You guys really thought I was upset about cyberbullying?!

So you say this website is being invaded with bullies? Oh, it's not like other social sites like Facebook and Twitter have any bullies, amirite? The only way to stop bullies is by ignoring them.

There is a fail-proof way to stop and also prevent cyberbullying.
Here it is:
1. Realize that the person "bullying" you online can't really do anything to you.
2. Log out of the website and close your browser.
3. Turn off your computer and do something else.

Voilà. They're gone now.

This site has several features to block harassment. The ignor button, friends-only whisper/PM, friends-only profile comments, etc. If people are "bullying" you, you can make it stop. Everyone else isn't responsible for the things you're sensitive about.

Besides, there are rules in place to stop harassment (or bullying, if you prefer that term), such as the "be civil and polite", rule...If you think mods aren't enforcing this rule well enough, you should be specific about that and give examples; rather than making a general "stop cyberbullying" thread that always generates hate.

The supposed "cyberbullying" doesn't bother me, because I don't treat this site like Facebook and expect to make "friends". I go on this site to discuss certain topics with others.

What most newfags don't get is that here on the Forums we use insults to talk to one another, like how we call each other "fgts", but when we do say that, we usually mean it to no offense.
