Theory - Dr Mario in Smash 4

Most people are saying that Dr Mario was just a bonus character added late in development, others think it was for the Meleefags.

However, there is a glitch in SSB4 that I have analyzed that proves this wrong.

You see, on gema_yue's Twitch stream yesterday, he encountered a glitch when playing as the Villager against three Dr Mario on the Yoshi's Island stage. After being at 100% and killing two Dr Mario, the background starts chanting "Nana and Popo!", which are the names of the Ice Climbers. This may prove Dr Mario must have taken the Ice Climber's slot, it would make sense too. People were saying Duck Hunt replaced the IC, but the Duck Hunt is too original. Dr Mario is a copypaste character. They were apparently cut late in development, so having a clone take that slot would make sense.
The thing that makes me so sure of this though is that it happens after killing two Dr Mario.

Btw, Ice Climber fanboys.
It isn't a glitch that accidentally does some crap meant for DLC.
Sakurai confirmed Ice Climbers wouldn't be playable.

Anyway, if you have any thoughts on this, leave them in a post.

But how long did it take Sakurai to figure out that the 3DS couldn't handle the IceClimbers?

I wonder how long it'll take before Nintendo realizes that remaking Mario games is getting boring also where is the 4ds, it sure as well beats the idea of the 2ds which surely is just an original ds?...

I still have hope. Maybe we'll get 8-bit ICs for 3DS DLC, and 3D ICs for WiiU DLC.

Here is something else:

The trophies for Mewtwo, Wolf and Lucas look like they were made for playable characters. Just look at them.
That may suggest:
a) They were planned to be playable

They may be DLC (which would make sense if they were removed due to time constraints)
