I drew fanart of harfod's The Thing..

That is all.

I was going to have Dakota lie down, facing the viewer, with her arm around The Thing's neck, but I chose not to.

Also, I have two versions of this drawing (one without a blush, and one with it). The other one will be uploaded to Colorslive later. If you don't see either of them on Colors!, it's because I've uploaded too many drawings within 24(?) hours.

Criticism?
The ears look like bent socks. I couldn't get the ears or the colors (the reference that I used wasn't colored.. And I couldn't find the colored image) right, so that happened.. At bottom, in green, where it says 32iō, is my new signature. It's a sideway 'M', an upside down 'e', a regular 'i', and a sideways 'a'.

Language is a tool for efficient communication. The internet is a tool for fast communication. Do not defy both intents by posting incoherent writing.

The colors aren't your problem.
It's the actual line art that sucks. It's so squiggly everywhere.

Yeah, I know, that happens to me all the time. My hands are shaky, and it looks fine on 3DS. I tend not to notice it until I upload it. e-e @Kishy

It just looks juvenile.
You can tell a kid drew it.

Do I look like Vincent Van Gogh?

I actually see what you mean here.

Use thinner lines more often.

Actually....It's really not so bad.

Critiques show
The body needs work...You should try practicing dimensions more. For example, instead of having her white mane look straight right under her chin, start the outline just a bit higher--about at her mid jaw--to make it look as though it's wrapping around her neck...then a little shading would finish it well.

Her legs go up too high...she almost looks like she's all legs. You might be able to fix that by cutting the lines at the top and leaving blank space. Her hind legs should probably be spread out some more to show a bit more of her torso...not to mention, the whole lower half is somewhat crooked.

What I do like, is her face. The eyes are very pretty and I love the detail. Also, I like how you did the highlights. The little curly-cue above her ear thingies is a cute touch

I find thick lines to be perfectly fine for cartoony characters; in fact, it's a method I enjoy doing a lot.

And finally to end with a tip: You should probably try shading, even if it's slight. It might look really striking if you have both highligts and shading c:

We all need to start somewhere; keep it up

Thanks for the criticsm, Lani and Kishy.

I'm pretty sure that no one else is going to offer it, so I may as well close this.
