The suffocating stereotypes put on 'People like me' are enough to choke even the most emotionally impervious, like myself. For years, I've been trying to accumulate the acceptance of the schools, workplaces, and, on the more global scale, the world. They may say that any non-heterosexual entity is 'not normal' or, 'is choosing to be that way'. Ask any non-straight person out there, if they chose to be that way. If they hadn't already choked up, or administered physical retribution on you, then they'd absolutely say no. I'm Hannah, and I'm a 22 year old pandemisexual. What does that suggest, you may be asking yourself? Well, the beginning part, "Pan" simply explains that I could maintain a meaningful relationship to either gender, without a preference. I have been in many a relationship with men; as I have with women. It doesn't matter to me, and it never has. Not many people are this way, but that doesn't mean that I'm a freak. The pansexuals get ridiculed, every day. I've had people tell me that I'm a closet lesbian, who's to afraid to admit it to anyone; or even myself. But let me tell you; I know myself much better than any high-schooler does. I don't need approval from anyone; I don't need to gain the liking of everyone around me. I don't need your pity, because I don't feel remorse about my 'choice'. Because after the years, I've grown cynical. I never wanted to be that way, but the endless name calling, and ignoramuses telling me that they know what it's like, have driven me to a point that I can't say I even knew could exist, until now. I'd go on, but I digress. Now for the "-Demi" part of 'Pandemisexual'. A demisexual person only feels sexual or physical attraction towards them, if they have a strong emotional attachment to them. Can you not see the tragic irony in that? If everyone were this way, then I'd have the entire world to find that other person. And I have it easy, as far as knowing if it's love. I know of no infatuation; because of my demisexuality. I've never had trouble knowing that I'm in love; it's an awful inconvenience to know that they are not attracted to the same gender. It is agonizingly painful to be in love with someone who doesn't love you back; but it's even worse to know that they never will. If what we deal with isn't enough; then maybe this is. I've dated many men who bring our association to a close, upon being informed of my sexual preferences. As a matter of fact, I've dated many WOMEN who do the exact same thing. Lesbians, apparently only want their gender, as long as they're not bi or pansexual. I guess it's because either because I don't want to engage in intercourse with him, or because I'm abnormal, for liking both genders. I would love to see the insolent idiots to try and take my point away, because anyone would know the obscurity of non-acceptance for all non-straight people. It's 2014, and people across the world still can't wrap their heads around the fact that we're all human. And we all possess the inalienable rights that the person next to us do. When people understand that, then I'll start communicating with people again. I'm shut out; I'm on hiatus from relationships; both romantic, and of the friendly nature. My family disowned me since I told them, and I'm not ready to have to deal with more neglect from everyone. Thank you for listening to my story. Consider this; the next time you make fun of someone who isn't 'normal'.

Story forum for you.
Language is a tool for efficient communication. The internet is a tool for fast communication. Do not defy both intents by posting incoherent writing.
