Does anything 'special' (apart from being one year older, smartasses) happen annually on any of your birthdays? For example, is it on a holiday? Were you baby new year?

All this talk about "one year closer", "one year older" is bothering me because it implies that time stands still and then suddenly leaps one year forward on a given day,
