darkblade292 (2015-02-11 11:57:01)Well, mods usually are selected on what they do most. You are hardly going to choose a Forum mod from the people who constanly use the chat. Not to mention that the current mods do not seem to care. I remember a few times that I was in there and found a mod chatting. When I asked why THEY weren't RPing, they said they simply didn't care. As I said above, you would choose a mod for a certain section if they never even used it. I believe this should go for the RP Room also.

In the case of the RP room, if a mod is present but not willing to roleplay, the mod should not chat unless it is through whispers since it would be a violation of RP room etiquette, something mods issue warnings for.

Lani (2015-02-12 06:11:19)Mods shouldn't be forced to RP...it's not as though RPing makes their moderation skills any better, in fact it's a hinderance considering their RP would be distracting their attention. I know this well, because I would RP in whispers, and it was a hectic multitask. If the Mod is quietly moderating the RP room, it shouldn't even be a problem....
The RP host techincally already exists....known as RP tags. I've noticed not many users use it to note which Rp their in, so perhaps we should encourage use of it that way (E.X: "Anyone who is in my RP, tag yourself with DRKB" )...It might not be as fancy as private RPs, however I think it's tolerable.

You kind of did even if you didn't want to. It soaks in your brain a little longer, so you know not to force mods to do stuff and get chewed out by three mods.

Crappy topic name aside, most of you have been in the RP room, correct? And most of you have seen Mods in the RP room, correct?
Tell me, when was the last time you saw a mod RPing, actively while still warning and banning? Exactly. I propose this.
A separate moderator, who only has power in the RP room. I am unaware if this would be difficult to code or not, so don't kill me if it is. This moderator would get a different icon, to set them apart from the other mods e.g, a badge instead of a crown.
Another feature would be this. I have seen people get a bit confused over all RP posts being the same colour (purple). Now, what if there was a command implemented that allowed people to join and exit an RP. Only those in the RP could see the posts, except for mods. Mods can see everything. Anyways, the host can also choose to /rp kick someone, but only if they have a legitimate reason.
