Not sure if you guys know about this new update which was released last night, but in case you missed it, you can update your 3DS, 3DS XL, 2DS, or New 3DS XL to the latest update! The update includes:

-Home menu custom layouts for a specific theme.
You can rearrange menu icons for a specific theme! You can load and save up to 8 custom layouts! Pretty handy if you are really into customization.

-Bug fixes and further improvements

And, a surprise addition to every system in the 3DS family (except the New 3DS) is the addition of amiibo support! New 3DS users already had that option available since forever, but it's nice to see that Nintendo is doing something to bring amiibo support on older systems by releasing a peripheral device that will have NFC compatibility and communicate with the 3DS via infrared signals. The device is scheduled to release later this year.
