For centuries, my brethren and I have watched your planet. Waiting. Trying to get close enough, without raising suspicion.

In your eyes, we're relatively harmless, which is ironic, as that couldn't possibly be further from the truth.

Every now and again, somehow, some of us are able to reach down to the lands. And sometimes, we can be successful in these times in hunting a snack or two. And you call them disappearances, blaming one of your own brothers, never suspecting us. You don't see us as dangerous, no matter what cause for alarum we give you.

You humans are so ignorant, it's almost insulting. You look at us for shapes, and we put on a show to play along. But we can't play along forever. Our tummies rumble, and you simply try to hide under something. We howl in pain trying to feed, but you brush it off as wind.

Well, when you name mankinds greatest threat 'clouds,' it seems easy to ignore our hunger for your planet. But even when we can't help but salivate over out desires, you manage to enjoy, and name our drool with such beauty and innocence...

'Rain.'

To be honest, I feel like I had a really good, creepy idea, but wasn't able to find a way to execute it properly. If anyone has ideas to edit it, please tell me. I'm not satisfied with the outcome of this, but I don't know how to fix it. Suggestions and recommendations are greatly appreciated.
