What's your thoughts on Steven Universe? If you're a fan, who are your favourite characters?

I personally adore this show, both the original and newer version. And, I'd have to say my favourite characters are Pearl, Rose and Garnet.

Pearl because she's basically Steven's mother and she's in all pretty awesome.

Rose Quartz because she was such a great leader and hero.

Garnet because she is the embodiment of Ruby and Sapphire's love for one another.

Nice fancy thread.
I never usually watch television as often as I do surfing the web. When I am watching telly, I watch this along with some other cartoons.
Steven Universe is not as bad as you think.

Okay, I'm going to point out everything wrong with this show. No, I do not hate it and I actually enjoy some of the suspense at times, but these are what bother me:

1. How come it grosses me out that Steven wears flip-flops?

2. Imagine Steven Universe cosplay in real life. You'd have to stuff your shirt with pillows, put on a red T-shirt with a dumb star on it, farmer jeans, and red flip-flops. Unappealing.

3. Why is Steven the only boy in the group?

4. Couldn't they design Steven and his father, two main characters, a bit better?

Actually, Steven isn't the only boy, the Gems are all non-binary and there's Peewee, Renaldo, Jamie and all of Steven's other friends.

The characters in the show are fags with mental issues.

The show is interesting but the characters' actions are unrealistic/unnecessary/unethical.

But that's TV in general I guess. Someone has to screw up some in order for the show to have a conflict.

The character designs are actually pretty good-looking. It's not as terrible as modern Spongebob's character designs. I mean, look at that beast Kenny.
