- Don't use mascara. It's clumpy, gooey, and it can smear easily. Instead use an eyeliner pencil and gently brush it across your lashes. This makes your lashes look more natural compared to mascara as it doesn't make your lashes stick together and look like spider legs.

- Don't ever ever ever use eyeliner across the length of your whole eye unless you're trying to look edgey. Just the outer corners to the middle of your lid. Also, unless you have dark hair, avoid using black eyeliner unless you want to look edgey or dramatic.

- After applying any lip colouring, dab it with a napkin or tissue to absorb any excess. This will prevent it from smearing onto your teeth or the rim of cups when you take a drink, plus it will look more natrual and your lips won't feel like you just kissed a frog. Unless you want to look bold...

- Never part your hair down the middle. Ever. Guy or girl. This will subconsciously bring focus to your facial imperfections.

-Don't paint your nails. It's a stupid waste of time

-For acne, if your face is very oily, oatmeal will help dry out your skin and reduce acne. You could find homemade recipes for an oatmeal wash online. Teatree oil and coal-based soaps are also helpful for combating acne.
