It was at a local convention where I saw a Dalek in real life. I'd always seen them on TV, where they would slaughter countless people in such a menacing and terrifying manner. I used to have nightmares about it, but as I approached the life-size model, I reassured myself that it was merely on TV, and not real.

Wow, the detail is incredible! Was this a prop that was actually used on TV? The bumps, the egg batter and plunger hands, the eyestalk, all polished to a fantastic detail. It really did look like a prop from TV. My hairs stood up on end as my childhood nightmares came forefront in my mind, but I disregarded it all and reassured myself that all the terrifying things it did, were only on TV.

The eyestalk began to glow, and it's creepy horn-like lights flashed as the shrill trademark screech erupted from it: 'EXTERMINATE!!!' It took me back; I didn't think it could move and talk on its own! I had to get a picture or something. As I fumbled around for my phone, a blast of light caught me off guard, and pain shot through all parts of my body. I screamed in pain and terror as I felt my insides blend, and everyone else in the convention began running away. As I fall to the floor, my final thought goes out, reassuring myself that it wasn't real...

Only on TV.
