Apparently Undertale won the title of Best Game Ever on some GameFAQs contest, beating out Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (which has won that title in previous years of the contest). It also beat titles such as Mass Effect 3, Pokemon Red and Blue, Fallout 3, Super Smash Bros Melee (thank God, the Melee fanbase has been a circlejerk for over 10 years), Super Mario 64, and Super Mario World.

Now "real gamers" are having a storm over the damn contest, and make claims that it only got popular because of "Tumblr and the Social Justice Warriors".

It's things like this that makes the gaming community looks so terrible to mainstream media and anyone outside of the community. I don't really care who won or lost the contest, but all the remarks these "real gamers" are making are just absurd.

DOAX3 will take the title from Undertale next year, guaranteed. Also, it's not Melees fault that it's tied with DOA4 as the greatest fighting game of all time; it just is.

I can understand goty but goat? Hell no, Undertale's definitely no masterpiece. It's a good game, but not that good. Opinions usually can't be wrong because it's someone's opinion, but their opinion is wrong.

^ I don't think it's really "Best Game Ever" since it can change over time, it's a subjective opinion, and the fact that GameFAQs has hosted the contest two other times prior. Final Fantasy VII won the first title of Best Game Ever, and Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time got it previously.

In my opinion, Super Mario 64 is the best game ever made, but once again, that's my opinion. If someone REALLY wants to say that about Undertale, let them. It should not affect anyone as much as it has been for certain people in the gaming community,

Another thing is many people played many different games, so one game could win if more people played it like Rhythm Heaven
