My suggestion is that statuses get a bigger role in our community. I have no coding experience, but I can think of the reasons why statuses will benefit of the community.

1. Statuses has people come online everyday.
It's just like twitter or Facebook. Or posting in the forums everyday - you do it to keep your popularity up, or so that people will know that you are active, or other reasons. It is just that something that keeps people come back, after they get positive reactions or attention. With statuses, that can be accomplished easily.

2. A new sub community will rise, attracting people from other websites on its own.
Think of it like that other neko site, people there love to come back every two hours to post something for the whole site to see. It's like instagram. Getting attention is neat for a lot of people.

3. People will meet more people who they find interesting.
If people put the stuff that they like in their signatures, or talk about stuff they like, other people who are like minded can talk with them. This way, people will find new friends easier and have a reason to stay more active.


Again, I can't code, but I do think that if our statuses would be as prominent as the status of that unimportant neko site, we could revive some part of 3DSPlaza. We could get more people active, we could get more people moving from other communities to ours. Statuses can be made more prominent if they were accessible from the 3DS startpage, if it had a tab on the PC version (like the tabs that link to the chats, forums, etc.) and if the statuses were accessible from the profile.

Just an idea to keep Plaza more alive and active.
