Did you create something good or bad in your life?
xXSaMiXx (2016-03-23 19:37:53)in elementary we made candy jars for our parents, we would fill mason jars with little notes and mini candies, and then we'd put the jars in paper bags we'd decorated and staple them shut. when I was visiting my parents old house I went through a box of my mom's things and i had found a bag that my mom had never opened. It broke my heart because it was ugly because I had rushed the project to get more in-class work done before going home (as per usual) and I'll admit that it was just hideous but she didn't appreciate it either, which made the sting even worse.
Wether your sock monkey was terrible or not, I'm sure your mom appreciated it.
Honestly, I've made mostly awful things in my life because I rush and always think that i have a minimal amount of time.

With that said, I'd say 100% percent of my doodles I've ever drawn are the worst thing I've ever created in my life.

If your doodles are truly bad then the reason that is is because you're too negative on yourself to even open up and try other art styles. Almost everyone I know who draws always says they're 'bad' or 'trash' when it can actually be considered (at least in my views, anyways) really, really good.
But since they're always telling themself their art is bad there's a chance they'll just stop drawing. Part of art is having enough hope and courage in you to always expiriment and always feel good about what you've done. If you don't, it's basically like talking about your food at a food competition, you keep on saying your food is bad, so why would the judges even try it? You gotta have more confidence, man.

In 6th grade, I had to make a sock monkey for Mother's Day. It took a total of four days to create. In the end, I finished and it was terrible.
From that point, I created something bad.
