Siblings who are depressed
Nin10dude789 (2016-07-11 17:11:10)A recommendation suggests that the person who cuts should be given a marker instead. Somehow it works and gets rid of their depression. I know someone who did that and worked!

little5 (2016-07-12 23:45:53)Yeah, I've heard it before too. Give them a marker (usually red) and have them draw (lines?) on themselves, or just have the, draw on themselves. I've also heard to rub ice on your wrists. Anything to not cut.
Come to think of it, I know a kid who always looks down in the dumps who used to draw on herself constantly.

So last week my parents found out that my sister was cutting, and she somehow hid this from us for over a year. We are only a year apart, and super close, so it was really shocking to hear that she was as depressed as she was. She hid it so well that I never suspected a thing, but hey I guess that's what people who are hurting do as a form of protection.?
So once they found this out my mom kinda lost it, and is doing crazy amounts of private one on one therapy. She lost both her parents this year, so this pushed her over the edge.
Anyway my family is having to do group therapy, and she's having to take lots of medication. I got out of my depression by dealing with problems that were presented to me, but I guess due to her anxiety that wasn't a liable option. Anyone else have these sort of problems ?
