When I was around 5 years old, my parents left me at my granddad's house for a week over the summer to spend some time with them. One night I woke up and saw a shadow approaching me. I got out of bed to get some help, but I couldn't walk any further. Something was trying to push me away from the door. I started to panic and soon afterwards couldn't breathe for a while. I sat back down on my bed and started to calm down. I decided to call out for help instead. I screamed 'Mummy', but every time I tried to speak, my voice either growled or squeaked. I went back to bed and then woke up to a McDonalds breakfast.

I had another sleep paralysis when I was around 8 years old. I woke up and tried opened my Nintendo dsi to play a game, but it kept closing and wouldn't open. I then was pushed back against my bed and my dsi disappeared. I think I slept after that.

Have you guys ever had a sleep paralysis?

... That seems a little more than paralysis to me.

But thankfully, no. I have never experienced such incidents.

Yeah that isn't sleep paralysis, that's either a dream or a home invasion. I've never experienced it but I've read stories about people who have.

I've had sleep paralysis. But the happening to you isn't. It's where you wake up, can't move, talk, or breathe. It lasts from a few seconds, up to a minute.

You need to stop watching horror movies. Tip: Don't see Lights Out
