Hey guys, I'm here to rant,talk, whatever you wanna call it about the reasons do many people left and quit Plaza. This site is not in a very good state. I mean yeah we're slowly gaining new members and the Aux Roleplay chat is filling up, but that's the problem. I'm a Plaza Roleplay Veteran, it used to be good back then when everytime you logged in, the rp room was filled with all kinds of people. They're mostly all gone now. We used to rp all day when this site was actually worth keeping alive and I still want to make it worth keeping up and running. Us Roleplayers always whined and begged over a room where we could chat and Roleplay. We thought it could make our room better. Now some of us, (maybe even you) have seen that what we created, was a nightmare for Plaza. This room is sucking the life from our site. The moment we created this Aux room, everyone fled to it, leaving all of the other chats. Why not? I mean they were pointless. We finally got what we wanted for years. Then the Roleplay room became pointless, even with all the new rules we had set up. This new chat was the best, you could talk and roleplay! But here's where everything went wrong. Everyone flees to the new room, forgets the other chats....roleplaying comes to a halt, slowly dying. There were rules that roleplaying in other chats wasn't allowed, but that's useless now. Chatting wasn't allowed in the normal rp room so what's the point of staying thete when we can chat in Aux........


Well you see, they were all rules that held Plaza together.No chatting meant rpers could rp in peace.No disruptions. No rping in the chatroom meant the chatters weren't disrupted. It's just that the rules were too sttict. It was getting to the point where I was banned for trying to start an rp in the rp room. The Mods...they were a big part in the problem, false bans, nagging at users for saying hi. Just don't be that strict. Allow us to greet one another and get on to rping. If it gets to a full on conversation, I could see a reasonable warn there. Well this is all the time I have today to talk to you guys about this. Please get this thread out there guys, Plaza needs it.

If you want to roleplay in piece, you can switch to the roleplay room where roleplaying is only allowed."

The issues will not get worse for roleplayers because there hardly are any. RPAUX is hardly a roleplay room anymore. People just go there to talk all day. This is the Aux rps rule. Well yeah, we can switch to the deserted Roleplay room by ourselves and eventually get banned for flood then realize that this is getting boring.

No one really avoids open discussion now. A single person speaks and it's a full-on conversation or argument. People do keep some discussion to whispers, but the whole chat is still pushing messages down by the second.

Yes, that's what it's there for now, but I don't see a little bit of conversation. I see loads of people chatting. So do you because you're there everyday.

Again I'll be back later. I have roleplay matters to attend to. They're starting to get rare.

Note that according by the vote done, the only minimum chatrooms that everyone in the chat at the time (well, the ones who voted that is) all voted for are 'original', 'roleplay', and 'roleplay auxiliary'. Take away any of those three and you get the 'no' votes.
