I'm pretty sure you can't get "friends" just by simply posting in a thread. There's way more things into how it works. Even if you can, would they meet the criteria to be considered one? Simply saying "you're my friend" won't be enough.
What needs considering is the personality (that covers a lot of things), interests and knowledge of that user. It would make sense to talk to them from time-to-time, especially for fun. Get to know them better, perhaps?
