Chad sat there, in the empty tiny cell. His arraignment was to start very soon, his attorney, Cole Jackson told him all about it. He was being charged with murder in the first degree, and Fola being charged as an accomplice to murder. The cell door opened, and he was escorted to a hallway, his attorney Cole Jackson was there. "It should start in aout 3 minutes, we should get to the courtroom, and remember what I told you about staying calm, Mr.Witmore?" Mr.Jackson said in a calm tone, Chad nodded his head "You sure.. I won't go to jail for this?" Mr.Jackson sighed, "I'll try my best." Mr.Jackson then took Chad to the courtroom.

District Attorney Cho was standing on the opposite side of the court room, Mr.Jackson and Fola, also Chad himself stood on the other side. The judge sighed, "How do you plea" "Not guilty, your honor." Mr.Jackson sighed, and then continued to speak "Uh, your honor. This case doesn't have enough evidence to charge for murder in the first degree. You're clearly just charging my clients due to their race. We request the charges get dismissed." Mr.Jackson said, District Attorney Cho laughed "Your honor, the people have more than enough evidence. Finger prints on the gun, blood and gun residue on both of the defendants. On top of that, a great motive for murder." the judge nodded his head "I have to agree with District Attorney Cho on this one, the dismissale request is out." "BUT YOUR HONOR!" Fola screamed, the judge smacked his Gavel against the wood desk, "Mr.Jackson keep your clients in check." Mr.Jackson sighed and rubbed his forehead with his left hand, "Sorry your honor." the judge nodded his head "How about bail?" District Attorney Cho smiled, "The people request remand, the defendants don't have any ties to the community and due to the hanis crime they have committed, the people see them to be a flight risk." the judged nodded his head "You'll both be remanded without bail." "YOUR HONOR! This is ridiculous." Mr.Jackson shouted in anger, "One more out burst Mr.Jackson and I'll find you in contempt of court." the judge said in a harsh tone. Fola & Chad were then sent to Prison.

Cole sat there, in his office staring at the cieling, he needed to come up with a real good defense, yes. She did kill herself, but there isn't any proof saying that they didn't pull the triger, and hell this new District Attorney was making Cole look like an ass before the trial even started. Cole wasn't used to this, he just barely got out of law school last week, Why does my first case have to be a jacked up piece of crap? Cole thought to himself. There was no way District Attorney Cho would make a deal, there was NO way a jury would believe their story. With that big of a motive? Hell, and if he tried saying the arrest was foul play, Detective Kim & Park are extremely respected by-the-book cops. This case was screwed, Cole was screwed. After hours of trying to figure out how he was going to work with this dog of a case, Cole decided to go home and figure it out tomorrow. The trial started on Sunday, and it was thursday. He had a few days to figure something out. Cole got into his piece of crap two-door car, and drove back to his apartment, traffic was a mess of course. Even at 11pm the traffic still sucked pretty damn bad, after 2 hours of being in traffic Cole finally got home, Cole lived in a nice new remodeled house his parents bought him. Cole grew up in a very rich successful family, his brother being a doctor, his sister a singer. His father an owner of a law firm, Cole grew up with pressure always on him. He was the youngest, so he was to act right, do his job right, and not fail at one thing. Always panicking about failing or messing up, Cole grew up with extreme axniety disorders and mild depression. The thought of if he made one mistake, he'd be disowned... It petrified him, and haunted him everday. There was no room for failure in his family, only success and wealth. Which is why be became a lawyer in the first place, his father choose his career, not himself. His family wanted him to exactly like his own father. Extremely successful, beautiful wife and children.. But that could never happen, his future his parents wanted. It can't come true, because. He will never, have a wife or a child of his own blood.

***********

Chad laid there staring at the concrete cieling, Am I ever going to get out of here? Chad thought to himself. Maybe prison is where he belongs, he didn't pull the triger, no, no. But he's the one who gave her the reason to pull it. He knew that even if he got out of jail, he'd still be in the prison of his own mind. The gulit, the shame, the regret. All of it hitting me so hard like a titlewave hitting the beachy shure of an oasis, his head filled with the images of blood, and her limp dead body. Everything at once was making him lose his mind, Alex didn't deserve this! She didn't deserve a scumbag like him! They should put him in a cage and throw away the damn key! He didn't murder her body, but he murdered her soul. He sinned, he lied to her, then he killed her. How can he live with himself? Knowing, he did it to his beautiful wife.. Chad quietly began weeping, wetting his bed and his pillows with his tears.

***********

"The defense calls Amina Olaforma to the stand." Mr.Jackson said in coy voice. Amina entered the court room and sighed, she then sat down on the stand. She then swore to tell the truth. "Mrs.Olaforma, what kind of relationship did Fola Olaforma & Alex Witmore have?" Mr.Jackson asked quietly, Amina sighed "They were friends, I suppose." Mr.Jackson nodded his head, "Did Fola ever have a past of violence?" Mr.Jackson asked as he walked around the courtroom, "N-No.. He's never even been arrested before!" Amina stated in a harsh tone. Mr.Jackson nodded his head "Was Alex depressed or even, suicidal?" District Attorney Cho stood up from his seat, "OBJECTION. She is not qualified to determine what Alex Witmore's mental status was." Mr.Jackson sighed, the judge nodded his head "Mrs.Olaforma, do not answer that question." Amina nodded her head. Mr.Jackson slightly clinched his fists, "I have no more questions for this witness.." Mr.Jackson returned to his seat, and sat down. District Attorney Cho stood up from his chair and laughed, "Amina, are you sure that your brother has NEVER, be arrested before?" Amina sighed, "We come from a bad part of town," Amina looked at the jury "But, he's never been in trouble with the law before." District Attorney Cho laughed, "You do know that committing perjury is against the law?" Amina nodded her head, District Attorney Cho grabbed a folder from his table "Fola, was arrested in 2007 for drug possession. Are you aware that you just lied to the jury?" everyone in the courtroom gasped "Your honor! Side-bar!" Mr.Jackson yelled in shock, the judge nodded his head "Approach." the judge said while using his finger to signal both of them over. "Your honor, those files were closed and expunged." The judge tured his head to look at District Attorney Cho "Is that true?" District Attorney Cho smiled, "Yes, but. It proves that she just lied on the stand, the jury can't hear her brainwashing lies. And, it shows that he's a criminal." The judge nodded his head "Yes, but District Attorney Cho you know that you can not, use expunged records in court. I'll have to tell the jury to disregard your last remark." District Attorney Cho sighed, Mr.Jackson walked bakc to his table. District Attorney Cho smiled wand walked back to his table to grab another folder "Amina, where was Fola born?" Mr.Jackson stood up "Objection, relevance?" District Attorney Cho smiled, "It's relevant to the knowledge of witness knowing the defendant." the judge nodded his head "I'll allow it. Miss, answer the question." District Attorney Cho smirked, "Uh.. Mmm.. I am not sure." Amina sighed and covered her forehead with her hand, "Of course you aren't. Because Fola, isn't your real brother. Nor is he even related to you!" District Attorney Cho accussed, "Your honor!" the judge looked at District Attorney Cho "What are you talking about" District Attorney Cho smirked, and went back to the table and grabbed another folder, "FOLA OLAFORMA, ISN'T HIS REAL NAME!" "OBJECTION!" everyone gasped and starting talking, "Order in the court order in the court!" the judge smacked his Gavel against the wood desk, District Attorney Cho smiled "FOLA OLAFORMA'S REAL NAME IS ERIC WITMORE!" Chad gasped and NO.. IT... IT CAN'T BE... the next thing Chad remembers, is everything going black.
